Waiting for her to wake up

Cayden let Aiden cry that night in his arms and god knows how long Aiden cling to him, he had no idea until that day, how much Aiden missed his mother and her love for him, Cayden was blinded by his own misery all this time and never stopped for a second to see how Aiden was doing he failed once again to fulfil his promise to Ahana but after that night he had stopped being so obvious in front of Aiden, He would go back home on time and stay with Aiden and talk to him help him with his studies, he would attend all the PTM of Aiden as his legal guardian and went on every occasions his presence was needed, even though he did not do anything special but his presence in Aiden's life made Aiden feel the warmth he had been lacking off since Ahana fell in coma, they had made a bond which was never there before, still Aiden did not behave that openly like he did when he met him for the first time but still it was better than being a isolated kid who could lose his sanity at any movement, would also take him out as well, he did not want to lose him as well, he might never be able to face Ahana if he did. 

Before Aiden's teacher also expressed their concern regarding the Aiden for not engaging in any activity until necessary he would not go out to play instead he would sit silently on the benches. he never showed any kind of emotions like other kids of his age and this made them worry about him and they made a call to discuss it with Cayden and after which Cayden started visiting frequently to his school and would make sure to tell him to enjoy his school life rather than wasting away his golden years, at first Aiden did not listen but gradually things started to get better and now his teacher did not bother him either as Cayden has placed a special request to let him be for the time being and in case of any emergency they need to contact him directly. Aiden's condition was getting better but still he missed his mother dearly, He would only sleep next to her only but now Cayden has become a big a big figure in his life as well he had started to depend on him, he did not want to at the start but Cayden always stayed by his side now and would do many things just for him, like reading him bed time stories, accompanying him for dinner, would go out to watch baseball match with him, would take him for drive or sometimes just sit there and not force him to talk or do anything he did not want to do.

Oliver also come sometimes and play with Aiden and would take him out with him for gaming, they had practically became friends in this period, whenever Cayden felt suffocated or lost he would ask Oliver to look after Aiden and he would then only indulge in his extreme habits until he felt grounded once again, he never wanted Aiden to see his that side so he would disappear and come back when he knew he would not lose himself or do something he would regret later on, only than will he appear in front of Aiden, he did not want that kid to worry about him leaving him alone as well so he had stopped going to the underground boxing ring instead he would spare with his people and than go and drink away his sorrow, which was waiting to drown him in the darkness where he wished to see her feel her, now he wished for dream of her if he can't see her talk in reality he wished that to happen in his dreams atleast, but god was not so merciful towards him and he felt suffocate and surrounded by those dark demons waiting to claw him down if not for Aiden's sake he would have given in to those feeling of inflicting harm to himself. It had been months now but nothing changed in Ahana's condition.

but one thing has changed in these month's he had made a call to Ahana's mother months ago to let her know about Ahana's condition. He made the call very next day of Aiden's break down to spare himself of future problems and to let Aiden has someone he trusted be by his side if not in reality at least through phone. He remember Mrs. Black taking in everything so calmly and leaving him speechless. He called her and then what she said to him.

"Hello" Cayden had called the number Ahana had saved in her phone as her mother.

"Hello, who are you?" Came the old voice but with bit of authority in it.

"I am Cayden Parker Mrs. Black and I am your daughters boyfriend" Cayden did not beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

"Where is my daughter" Kristine asked because she felt so shocked by the caller even though her voice gave nothing away but she felt bit shaken by this news and why had she not said anything about all of this to her until now.

"I will tell you everything to you in person Mrs. Black if you don't mind meeting to me" Cayden has said he had planned to visit her already and wanted to have her permission or he would just have to force his way in but he planned to reveal the news of Ahana in person and not over the phone.

"Ok" Kristine said she could feel that something was not right and planned to ask Ahana even though she behaved differently now a days and she had her own doubts but still she wanted to know what exactly was going on with Ahana, it was not like she did not want her to have a relationship it was just that she worried that she might get tried by some asshole once again.

"I will be visiting you tomorrow in the Afternoon, I will give you a call and my driver will come to pick you up around 4 if it is fine with you" Cayden said with respect and he had already planned everything and would take late night flight for Houston.

"Ok will Ahana going to be there with you" Kristine asked because if he was coming then she must be coming with him and where was Aiden then, Kristine had many questions but she held back for tomorrow when she met this stranger face to face who claimed to be Ahana's boyfriend out of the blue.

"No Mrs. Black it will be me only, I will explain to you everything tomorrow" Cayden said and Kristine could feel that something was really off, it was like her feeling has been right that something was going on with Ahana and that was the reason she behaved in that way recently and would not even do video calls with her, in starting she thought she was busy with her new life and having Aiden there but later on she realized that she might be hiding something from her.

Just like that their call ended and Cayden told Aiden that he had to go for a business trip and will be back by the night and went to meet Ahana's mother before things got any more messy. When he reached Houston it was already past 2 and had not much time before Ahana's mother was brought here, he messaged her the details and sent Mick to pick her up to make sure nothing went wrong. When he saw her mother came into his room later own she looked old but still conducted herself with grace, she did not look much like Ahana except her unruly hairs similar to her daughter, he stood up like a gentleman when he saw her enter the room.

"Hello Mrs. Black, I am Cayden Parker, I hope you journey here was smooth and you did not have any problem arriving here" Cayden said he tried to keep his coldness inside but Ahana's mom was not as naïve as Ahana and could tell from one glance that this man was not someone simple.

"No Mr. Parker it was all better and as I am here I would like to know where is my daughter and grandson, I don't want to stand on pleasantries with you and would like to know the truth." Kristine had not slept last night and was worried sick after that call from Cayden, she had tried calling Ahana and Aiden but was not able to get through them and this made her even more worried, her only hope was this man now to know the truth, So as soon as they sat down she spoke her mind without caring about anything else, her daughter was more important to her than anything right now.

Cayden was not a fool either so he knew that she had guessed something so he went out with the truth and told her all about Ahana and her condition but what he did not expect was to see her being so calm and not through curses at him, he did hide few details but what was necessary to let her know that she was in coma right now and he will be taking care of her and Aiden until she wakes up and he would not hand her over to anyone either, he was ready if they wanted to visit her, he would arrange for everything but he would not let her go at any cost. After he was done Kristine asked him.

"Do you love my daughter Mr. Parker and are you ready to accept Aiden as well" Kristine asked she was not calm inside and worried sick for her ill daughter but what she wanted to know that was If this man really wanted to save her daughter and was ready to accept her with Aiden or not. As situation at home was not pleasent for Ahana either, if she brought her there those people their might accuse her for many things and she had no means to provide for her and Aiden's expenses.

"Yes Mrs Black and to prove my loyality I would like you to see these documents" Cayden passed the envelope with the document to her.

When Kristine read what was written on those papers she knew he did not just casually said that he would not let her go anywhere and would take care of Ahana and Aiden for life. that day Kristine left Cayden's hotel with a promise from him to always take care of Ahana and Aiden and she would like to talk to Aiden through phone in the future and he was suppose to tell her the truth in the future and not hid anything. Cayden promised her that and went back to London. After which life had been quiet for him and Aiden except for one thing Ahana not waking up.

Cayden came back home from work and when he went inside he did not find Aiden sitting at Ahana's side like usual, he frowned and then went out.

"Mrs. Beckett is Aiden not back from his school?" He asked Mrs. Beckett because it was Raymond's duty to pick him up and after that Mrs. Beckett would look after him in his absence.

"No master he is not back yet, but I remember him telling before that today that they were going on a trip from school" Said Mrs. Beckett and Cayden nodded and went back in Ahana's room, soon Mrs. Beckett brought warm water and a towel and placed it on the bed side and left silently, in this time Cayden would clean Ahana up, he would massage his muscles and would do all the things he had learned, he would not let anyone touch her and would take care of herself, She really respected him for this, he really loved Ms. Black even though she had been like this for 6 months now but still Cayden never doing all those things and always came back for her and would leave once he was done. it was like he was silently waiting for her to wake up one day but unfortunately that day hasn't arrived yet and they all could do nothing but pray for her to wake up soon.

Once Mrs. Beckett went out he started cleaning her up he saw that all the marks were gonne no scare was left on her skin except for that scare of bullet which she took for him, ever time he saw that mark his eyes would dim and all the light would be sucked out of his eyes, he would look so deserted and lost in that movement, he kissed that mark and started cleaning her up once again once he was done with the cleaning he would apply oils on her body to keep her skin well and her muscles relaxed he would massage her body so that when she woke up she would be a good condition and doing all of this for her gave him a sense of peace.

"Ahana please wake up soon, or else I might not be able to hold on for too long" Said Cayden in a voice not above a whisper a plea could be heard in his voice and you would know that he was desperate now for her, just once he wanted to hold her, hear her voice he was ready to trade anything for that one movement but god was not ready to listen to him and would like to see him suffer and live a miserable and pathetic life. Once hew as done he kissed her forehead with love and caressed her face and then got up and made a call to ask how long Aiden will take to come home.

"where is Aiden?" Cayden asked once his call got connect.

"Boss we are on our way we will be back home in 15 mins" Raymond answered his boss and he knew he cared about little master a lot since Ahana fell down he had not cared about anything other than little master and little master also like boss a lot without boss he would not eat or sleep now a days.

He looked at the Aiden through the rear-view mirror and saw that he was totally engrossed in his own world and shook his head because he sometimes does not even look like a 6 year old kid but rather 25 years old. He speed up a little and drove toward the mansion.

As Cayden was about to go in the study room his phone started to ring again and he frowned and then took out his phone from his pocket and saw Oliver's name.

"Hello" Cayden said in his usual indifferent tone after that day in the bar they did not fought and Oliver never complained about Aiden anymore and was even happy that Aiden was improving a little, now he would go for regular session with Oliver to Noah and never threw any tantrums anymore but he had started depending on Oliver more than Cayden liked but it was alright as he was busy and in his place Oliver took good care of Aiden.

"Something happened you need to look at the information I sent you just now" came the strain voice of Oliver from the other end, it was unusual for Oliver to get affected by anything.

"Give a minute I need to open my laptop" Said Cayden and he went into the study and fired up his laptop and opened his email account and opened the information sent by Oliver he had put his phone on speaker and was looking at the data sent by Olly.

"Did you see that?" Said Oliver from the other end.

"Yes" Said Cayden and he leaned back in his chair and looked at the content that was sent over to him and his eyes darkened at that movement, his eyes turning cold and his expression changing. A chilly vibe shrouded him and he just sat there unmoved. After a movement he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, attempting to suppress his emotions. Briefly thereafter he opened his eyes and they returned to there usual calmness.

"Cayden...Cayden ?" Came Oliver's worried voice from the speaker.

"Yes" He said nothing could be detect from his voice but there was many things which were going in his head at that time.

"Do you know who could it be? I have looked around but nothing Came up whoever it is, he is pulling the strings from the dark, what do you want to do?" asked Oliver as they could not sit still if the other party was making a move and without knowing who it was, it would be hard to take the measures against them.

"You don't have to worry, I will take care of this" Said Cayden in his cold and indifferent Voice.

"does that mean you know who it is" Asked Oliver with a certainty, he had know Cayden since they were kids and he could just tell by his tone what he was thinking most of the times.

"I have a idea but i need to confirm that before I tell you about that" He said and as he was about to tell him something his study door opened and came a little boy running toward him and he got up and held him in his arms.

"I will call you again" he said and disconnected the call and looked at the boy in his arms who was now hugging him tightly like he was scared that he might vanish.

"I am not going anywhere, haven't I told you before" He said and started rubbing his back and took him out of his study and to his room. "How was your day?" He asked as he was taking him to his room now. "Did you enjoy?"

"Yes, I missed you" Said Aiden, He did not like staying late in the school, he liked staying in his house with Cayden and Ahana the most, he was scared when he came back and did not find Cayden in the room sitting next to the Ahana like usual , so he ran around until he found him in his study.

Cayden smiled at his answer but did not say anything and then took him to his room to get changed and settled him down next to Ahana only when he saw that he was alright and not as anxious as he was when he came running in his study did he got up to go down to bring there food. After that they had there dinner and he put Aiden to the bed and went to his study to look into the matter, He had seen that someone was trying to buy the shares of Parker Inc. at a high price, there where many shares scattered around and whoever it was wanted to challenge his authority by doing so, When he saw that someone's face flashed across his mind but he did not just assume it, He wanted to make sure and that was the only reason he did not tell Oliver who he had in mind.

It had been too long and he might have forgotten about him if not for this incident, He opened up his laptop and started working the magic in it, He did not use the laptop for work but also for Hacking as well he needed to see those shareholders sold those shares and they might have received an amount from someone account and if all the account matched then it would be easier for him to get that person, because Cayden did not believe in coincidence whatever happened, happened for a reason and if his guess was right, he would not spare that person for a second time, he already regretted not killing him back than and putting end to all those things.

Once he got the details his eyes turned dark they were like those bottomless pool, you could not fathom the depth and the danger lurking in them, he had been too lenient in these few months that he thought he could take Parker Inc. under his nose and without letting him know, did he take him as a fool, good he thought it was good that fish was taking the bait now and was ready to come out of his hideout other wise it would have wasted his efforts, if he went out and searched for him, Let's see how you plan to play this game, he was interested in knowing how he would topple him over and suddenly his lip lifted in a smile but when someone looked it looked so sinister that they would shedder in fear.

Cayden took his phone out and made a call Ye Ling the one person he never called until he had something he did not want to get involved in. He made the call and waited for it to get connected once it got connect came a very lazy voice from the other end like he could not bear to even speak.

"Hello" Said the person from the other side.

"I have sent you the information, go and look into it and make sure not to let anyone notice you, also I want you to distinguish yourself and make yourself one of them for the time being and wait for my instructions once you are there and earn there trust" Said Cayden in a cold voice which lacked all the warmth in it and that person suddenly felt fully awake and he felt chill ran over his whole body just by the voice of that man.

"Yes Boss" He said and before he could say another word the line got disconnected and he looked at his phone once again to make sure that he was not dreaming. Once he saw he had received a call from the demon himself he did not waste a second and pulled open his laptop and looked at the details sent to him by a anonymous email he knew who it was and this was the best and safe way to send out the information. when He clicked on the email he saw the brief instruction laid down for him and he knew what he has to do once he had went through this information he deleted the email and went to get the work done otherwise he was doomed if he failed in accomplishing what was requested from him.

on the other side Cayden got back in the room and looked at the Ahana and Aiden sleeping soundly on the bed and some of coldness in his eyes melted down and he sat down next to Ahana and caressed her face, how he wished for her to wake up and feel the warmth of her and than he looked at the little baby next to her who was practically wrapped himself to her hand like a Koala hugging a tree, He could feel his pain and his longing for this person beside him they both wanted the same thing to be held by that person on the bed, they both felt lost without her being around and wished to be held by her, He had no idea how long would they be like this just wishing for her to wake up and how long can they go on with this void in there heart which was increasing in size by every passing day.
