Desperate

Oliver was practically running around the world for the last 3 months in the place of Cayden, as he would rather lose every other company than leave Ahana's side. He came back today because it was the day many specialists would come to check on Ahana it's been 3 months since she fell into a coma and he knew better than anyone what it meant when a person did not wake up for the first 3 months. it was highly impossible for them to wake up in the later months or years but he had no heart to tell those things to his brother whom he saw crying that day holding Ahana's arm his shoulders were slumped forward and shaking, his back view gave away the feeling of loneliness and heart-wrenching pain.

He saw him working like a donkey for the past few months before he was a workaholic but to not this extent and now he showed no emotions at all, he was worried that he might fall one day because he did not sleep or expressed any kind of emotions at all, who was worse than him was Aiden, these months he had gone to meet him many times brought him so many toys from around the world but he could not make him utter a word, he showed no interest in anything other than staying at his mother's side, he was like a leg accessory of her now, He would not leave her side until it was necessary.

Those two were giving him a headache not only today was important for Ahana it was important because he had called one of the best psychiatrists in the world for Aiden, as that child was in a worse state than Cayden right now. If not for Cayden making him start eating and going to school for the sake of Ahana, he would have practically lied down like Ahana on that bed and will never take a step out of her room.

As he was walking toward the exit he received a call.

"Hello"

"Where are you?" Asked Cayden.

"At the airport, I will be there in half an hour, you don't have to worry I will bring Noah with me," Said Oliver he knew he called him only to ask for the psychiatrist he had called for Aiden. "Cayden you should see him as well" Oliver wanted his friend to also see Noah but before he could try to persuade him he had disconnected the call and Oliver shook his head in frustration. He was not sure if he was worse before or got even worse now.

Cayden was standing in the room looking at the girl lying on the bed like she would wake up any movement but he knew better now that it was all his wishful thinking to see her awake, he had held her in his arms countless times, begged her to come back to him but nothing Changed but still he had not given up the hope, he knew she would wake up and he would be heard for her when she did.

Doctors were running all the test on her and Oliver was standing next to Aiden, the atmosphere was really heavy and the aura Cayden was emitting did not help it either instead made it even more frightening. After the doctors were done they did not know how to break the news to them as they were all scared of Cayden and the way he was looking at them did not help them either. The most senior doctor among them took the lead.

"Mr. Parker, all the reports are normal all the wounds are healed but....there is nothing we can do anymore, the best chances for a coma is the starting 3 months but Ms. Black has not responded to anything until now and it will be hard for her now," Said the senior doctor but the more he spoke the more Cayden looked like a cold statue he knew all of this, he had studied all the books related to Coma these few months and knew what those doctors were not telling him as well, even though he was no expert but he knew what meant not waking up in the 3 months all the light left his eyes.

"My mommy will wake up," Said Aiden he had not spoken to anyone for the last few months but he did not like the way all of those people were treating her right now like she was a lost cause. there was a fierceness in his eyes and he looked at everyone with cold eyes and everyone felt that even that child possessed the cold aura like the man infront of them.

"Yes kid you are right, it doesn't mean that she can't wake up, we just have to be a little patience to let her wake up on her own and you should stay by her side so that when she wakes up you can help her out," Said the doctor because he had no heart to tell the kid that his mother might never wake up in this lifetime again.

"Thank you, doctor," Said Cayden, and everyone left except Aiden and Oliver.

"Cayden what those doctors said meant nothing, we should not give up the hope, we need to have a bit more patience and wait for Ahana to wake up after all how long can she sleep without feeling the love of Aiden and you," Said Oliver when he saw the two people looking like their soul had been sucked out of there body. Aiden went to his mother's side and held her hand. Cayden looked at the child not giving up and holding her hand.

He went up to them and sat down, he caressed the face of the girl who looked so much in peace right now, all her wounds were healed there were no marks left either except the bullet mark on her Chest, which will take time to go away completely, He wanted to say so many things to her but what he really wanted was to trade his life for hers. He could not stand it anymore and see her like this even though he had tried everything but nothing worked and she was still sleeping here and he had no idea how and what he should do, she was her only light and now once again he was immersed by the darkness, she was the sole reason he had not lost his mind until now or else he would have destroyed himself with everyone else around him.

Oliver looked at his lost friend his heart ached for him, he knew how much Ahana meant for him and how much he was depending upon those reports to say that she will wake up but there was nothing they could do other than wait for her, no words could soothe his hurt anymore, his friend was drifting away right now, if he did not work he would fight or drink, he would get trashed completely every day was like a living hell for him without Ahana, He could see how much weight he had lost and he worried for him as well because he felt like Cayden could break at any movement and if he did not do something soon he might fade away.

Cayden stood up and left the room without looking back, he could not do it he needed to get out or else he might lose his mind from the helplessness he felt right now, "Ahana please wake up please I beg you, Please I am dying inside please just wake up or else I might die and won't be able to fulfill my promise to protect Aiden either, I...I love you. You are my light the only thing that can move my heart could protect me from my own demons...I don't know how to live anymore without you, forgive my selfishness but I want to become a brain dead too so that I could just lie down with you, if not in life than in death I want to live with you, Wake up baby please wake up" He had no idea how many times he had wisphered those words to her and tried to get hurt in those fights so that he could escape that pain which was eating him up like cancer slowly and he had no way to escape that.

Oliver looked at the back of his friend and knew what he was up too, he took out his phone and called.

"Follow Cayden no matter what don't let him get away from your eyes," said Oliver in a serious tone unlike his usual playful self it was like he had matured as well in this spam of time and had no other thought than protect his friend.

"You know if the boss wants to lose us we won't be able to follow him," Said Mick from the other end, he had worked with Cayden for so many years and knew his personality if one day he wanted to vanish he would and no one will be able to track him down, He was like a shadow which moved without noticing and Oliver wanted him to follow him.

"I know but he will not notice you today, just go after him and try to tail him and let me know where he is going?" Said Oliver in a stern voice.

"Ok," Said Mick and saw his boss going out in his Aston Martin, He pulled the car door he was leaning on and started the engine and followed after him. He could guess what had happened after all today was Ahana's check-up and every time doctors came and went there boss would leave the house after some time and would not return for days sometimes. His boss had changed after that day, he would not care about anything anymore and if anyone tried to cross him or got in his way he would become a true devil, would not hesitate to deal with them and go for a kill, even they felt scared of him now because he was like a time bomb and they had no idea when he would bust out.

Oliver looked at the kid holding his mother hand like a treasure and she was his treasure, after all, Cayden did not give him any love anymore and the only person he knew love him was lying on the bed unmoving, he had been mentally unstable as well because he had built a wall around him no one could make him move other than Cayden and only if he mentioned his mother would he react otherwise he would sit at her side and stay there and won't talk to anyone, today he had invited someone for Aiden and now it was time Oliver took him downstairs to meet Noah.

"Aiden will you come with me?" Oliver used a soft tone with Aiden as he wanted him to cooperate with him.

Aiden did not move or showed any sign that he had heard Oliver but in reality, he had heard him but he had no interest in talking to anyone or going anywhere, he wanted to stay with his Mommy what if she wakes up and would need him, now only his mommy mattered to him and no one else, these people were all bad they hurt his mommy and he hated them all but he could not go anywhere because his mommy was here and he could not leave her here with these people, he had to protect her.

Oliver looked at the Aiden and knew that he would not go out with him and Cayden had left already so he could do nothing but look at Aiden helplessly, Cayden was fighting his own demons but he had been neglecting Aiden all this time, he was just a kid he needed the love to grow otherwise he will die like those plants which did not receive the water, he needed love to grow and no one was doing that for him and it was the biggest reason he had closed himself up.

"Aiden darling will you come with Uncle please, there is someone waiting for us, he wants to tell you something about your mommy, will you come with me?" Oliver had no option other than deceiving the little kid, it was really hard to make him move not for Ahana then he would not even react.

Aiden heard what Oliver said and even though he did not want to leave his mommy if someone was here for his mommy than he would do it after all he had to take care of his mommy right now. He put her hand down on the bed slowly and got up and looked at Oliver. Oliver put his hand forward for Aiden to hold but Aiden did not take it instead looked at him with impatience in his eyes and Oliver retrieved his hand and took Aiden down with him.

When they reached downstairs Noah was waiting for him, he had a very warm personality and looked like an angel and it was really good because it would make you lower your guards and make you trust him. Noah heard the noise and looked behind and saw a little kid with Oliver, one look and he knew it was the kid Oliver wanted him to see, he could see why just by one glance that kid was walking liking world was weighing him down, he looked lonely and lost.

"Hello Oliver," said Noah, he had a very pleasant and soothing voice.

"Hello Dr. Noah, this is Aiden," Said Oliver and looked at Aiden who was looking at Noah with caution like he was judging him if he was a good person or bad.

"Hello Aiden, I am Noah, how are you?" Said Noah and put his hand forward but Aiden did not take his hand either and kept looking at him, Noah only smiled at his behavior and asked him to sit down and they sat down but before Oliver could sit Noah asked him to let him talk to Aiden alone, so Oliver left even though he did not leave just showed that he was leaving and went behind a wall and stood there, he could not leave Aiden alone because if something unexpected happened to Aiden, Cayden might kill him.

"Aiden what do you like the most?" Noah asked him because he could see that this kid was not ready to talk so he wanted to make him comfortable before he could guess his state of mind.

Aiden looked at Noah even though he looked warm and smiled at him but Aiden did not want to talk to him, he was worried that his mommy might wake up and search for him so he wanted to go up and stay with her.

"What do you want to tell me about my mommy?" Aiden asked impatiently he would have left if not for his mommy.

"I will tell you if you answer my questions?" Said Noah with a smile, he could not let him go just like that.

Aiden narrowed his eyes but did not say anything but after sometime nodded his head in yes.

"Do you go to school Aiden?" Noah asked he wanted to lower his guard a little so that he could study his reactions and know where his mental state was.

Aiden nodded his head in yes, he only went there because he wanted to be a good boy of mommy.

"Do you like your school?" Noah asked once again.

Aiden shook his head in no he did not like going to school because he has to separate from his mommy for so many hours he would come back right after his school was over to stay with his mommy.

"Why don't you like your school Aiden?" Noah asked him because he could guess the answer but still, he wanted to be sure.

"Because I don't want mommy to be alone," Said Aiden and he felt rather impatient with this doctor because he kept asking him questions and did not tell him anything about his mommy.

"Do you love your mommy?" Noah asked once again and Aiden looked at him like he was looking at an i***t and Noah smiled knowing what Aiden thought of him, this kid was rather sharp than he had thought but he was way too close up.

"Yes I love my mommy and could you please tell me what you had to tell about my mommy, I want to go back to her," Said Aiden because he did not want to chit chat with him, he would rather talk to his mommy than this uncle.

"ok You can go to your mommy but before that, I just have one more question for you is that ok with you?" asked Noah because he could not keep him here for long he knew that because Aiden was not cooperative at all.

Aiden nodded.

"What will you do if your mommy never woke up," Noah asked and there was no smile on his face he wanted to see how Aiden will react and to his surprise, he did not say anything but looked at him with a murderous gaze, he saw the dangerous aura around that little kid which he should not possess at such a young age, it was not good for him. Aiden wanted to hit that uncle for saying bad things about his mommy, his mommy will wake up for him, his mommy loved him and she promised him that she will come back he just has to wait for her.

Aiden got up and left Noah in the living room alone once he was gone Oliver came out of his hiding spot and looked at Noah.

"he is not stable Oliver, that kid is dangerous right now if anything happened to his mother it would destroy him, he is not willing to talk or go anywhere because he only cares about his mommy and nothing else, if stayed like this for too long he might lose his balance. He need to open up and rest I don't have to tell you, you could already guess, as my work is done here I am leaving" Noah said and left Oliver all this time Oliver did not say a word because he himself was shocked by Aiden's behavior he was worse than Cayden right now.

Oliver looked upstairs and felt even more worried than before because he had seen the exchange right now and he felt the murderous aura around Aiden he was even worse than Caydend right now, they were like volcanos which will erupt at any movement. He only controlled his emotions because of Ahana but if something were to happen to her he might lose both Aiden and Cayden, he felt like something bad would happen if things were not sorted out right now, Aiden was on the edge of the cliff right now, no one knew when he might cross over and would become beyond saying, he needs to check up on him because Noah's word must have hurt him for him to react that way.

Oliver went upstairs but before he could enter he heard Aiden's sobbing and his childish voice and it broke his heart and he felt the pain rolling out of Aiden at that movement, he saw how broken that kid was, who showed indifference to everything but in reality, he was hurting beyond words.

"Mommy why don't you wake up, Aiden is being a good boy," Aiden said to Ahana and cried

"Don't you want Aiden anymore, why don't you come back to Aiden"

"Am I not a good baby, do you not love Aiden anymore" Aiden he was having so many self-doubts after all he was waiting for his mommy for so long but she did not wake up for Aiden and he had studied and gone to school as she told her before, he was a good boy, he never complained or cried but today that uncle said mommy might not wake up and this made him so insecure that he broke down and started crying holding onto his mommy.

On the other hand, the more Oliver listened to his childish complaints the worse he felt, He could see the desperation of that child in those words, he could see the pain of Aiden and the way he was breaking down, he needed to act right now because if he gave them any more time to sort things out they might kill themselves. Oliver made up his mind and left the house because he could not comfort that child it was someone else duty and it was time he beat some sense into that asshole.
