The meal had ended abruptly. Aside from Master Augustine’s flamboyant voice, talking nonstop as if he was having a great time with friends, the rest of them ate in silence.
Kira shot a glance at Lawrence indicating for them to leave. Lawrence immediately bid farewell and stood up in his seat. Master Augustine wanted to stop them but Lawrence had already walked out of the door, followed by the lady he was with.
