It felt like I had been here for hours. My mouth was dry, my head was throbbing and my stomach was in knots. Al I could think about was Claire and Mason. I hoped they would at least leave Claire alone. Chase and Sarah’s dinner party would’ve been over so they must have already had police searching for me.
I just needed to buy my time till someone came. I could hear footsteps coming closer to the door. I scooted as close as I could to the wall, pulling my knees to my chest. The door slowly opened and I sighed with relief.
“Ethan, thank god it’s you,” I started to cry, using the wall to stand up, “I don’t know where he went, but he took Claire. Call Mason to-“
