I cried until there were no more tears left. I don’t know what I would’ve done if Mason hadn’t shown up. He kept running his hands through my hair and down my back. I knew I was safe as long as I was in his arms. He took a step back and I felt my throat tighten and panic rise in my chest.
“Calm down baby. I’m just going to turn on the shower”
He turned on the shower and waited till it was warm. He helped me off the counter and undressed me first, letting me step in before he undressed himself and got in behind me. A new wave of tears began to fall as I saw the blood from him run down the drain.
