Raquel, upon hearing my question, furrows her brow and makes a strange face; she seems offended by my words, or at least it appears so. Why is she offended? My question is legitimate; I mean, we never had s*x without protection, so the chances of me getting her pregnant are practically nil. Besides that, as far as I remember, we never agreed to be completely exclusive. Who knows if she was seeing other guys behind my back? That baby is most likely not mine and probably belongs to someone else. It would be really stupid to just accept that a child is mine just because she says so. If I had that mentality, any girlfriend I have could get pregnant by any random guy and say that bastard child is mine even though it's not. My father didn't raise a fool.
