Chad only spared him a backward glance, but it was enough to misjudge the distance between him and Evey. He slammed into her front fender, landing face first on her hood. “Oh Chad,” Evey purred. “I love it when you throw yourself at me, but I think flirtation can wait until later.” Vincent leapt over Chad and ran across the hood before slipping in through the open passenger window from the roof. “Show off,” Chad yelled and dove head first through the driver’s side. “That’s what you get for leaving me behind mate,” Vincent said with a devilish smirk that looked a bit pained. Before Chad could even get himself situated, Evey threw the shift into reverse and peeled out of the building with Chad’s legs still hanging out her window. She spun around and took off through the back parking lot
