Raina’s POV By morning, the angry redness that had swallowed my skin the night before had finally started fading. Not completely. Just enough to stop looking catastrophic. Faint traces still lingered across my arms and collarbone, pale pink marks scattered like the aftermath of a war my body had barely survived. Every movement still felt tender. Fragile.
