Raina’s POV The room fell quiet after my tears finally stopped. Not completely quiet. Hospital rooms were never truly silent. Machines still hummed softly in the background. Footsteps still crossed distant hallways. Somewhere nearby, a child laughed before being hushed by an exhausted parent. But the storm inside me had calmed. At least for now. Park stood beside the hospital bed with one hand tucked into the pocket of his tailored charcoal trousers, the other holding the patient chart he had forgotten to put down after the doctors left. Even out of his white coat, he still carried that same composed authority that had followed him since our academy days. Elegant. Disciplined. Quietly intimidating. Park wasn’t flashy like Harrison. He didn’t command rooms through power or fear.
