Harrison’s POV The crystal paperweight hit me harder than I expected. Not enough to knock me backward. Not enough to make me lose balance. But enough. The sharp corner struck the side of my forehead with a brutal crack before falling to the marble floor and rolling beneath the console table. For a second, everything went silent. Then I felt it.
