Raina didn’t answer. She didn’t refuse either. She simply finished securing Frank’s bandage. “Alright. Take care of yourself these few days. Don’t get the wound wet.” Then she brushed past Harrison, leaving the office without sparing him a glance. At the end of the workday, as predicted, Raina spotted the familiar black luxury car waiting by the curb, sleek and silent like it owned the street. She paused briefly. Arguing here would only invite whispers, glances, office gossip wrapped in curiosity. So she opened the door and got in. The ride was quiet. Not peaceful, not comfortable. Just… quiet.
