In the following days, Alpha Frank was by my side, taking care of me. Each morning, he would wake up early and prepare my favorite breakfast, a stack of fluffy pancakes with fresh berries on top. But as I looked at the food, all I could think of was the video I'd seen. The sweetness of the berries seemed bitter, and I could barely force a few bites down.​ He'd ask about my day, share some trivial news from the pack, or recall old memories. But every word he said was laced with doubt in my mind.
