A few days after the big fight, Forest found herself overthinking. Her parents haven't talked to her since the fight. Though, her and Luke, her mate, talked every night. He always came to her at night, though, since their parents forbade them from seeing one another. Though, it was mainly her parents. Forest sighed before she got up, pacing around her room.
'Stop overthinking.. We didn't reject him!' Akira ranted.
'I know... But I don't want to lose my parents.. But I also don't want to lose my chance at love..' Forest stated back.
"Don't worry, love... I'm here.." Luke stated softly from behind her.
Forest turned, her attraction toward him had grown the past few days. She ran into his arms and hugged him, breathing in his scent as much as she could. "You shouldn't be here.. You know?" She asked him softly.
"I know.. But the shirt you gave me last night with your scent all over it drove me nuts.." He chuckled. "You're in heat.. Your wolf didn't tell you?" He asked.
Forests brows furrowed, "No.. She didn't."
'Figured you could tell.' Akira mentioned.
'Well, I didn't'
Luke chuckled and gently carcassed Forests cheek, "I believe I've grown to know that your wolf plays tricks on you."
"That she does.. But, just because I'm in heat doesn't mean anything, Luke." she giggled.
Luke frowned, "Awe, you don't want me to mark you yet, huh?" He asked.
"No, there will be a time for that, Just not right now.." Forest spoke softly to him, "Now, you need to go before my father finds out you're here.." She giggled before gently pushing him toward the window.
"Not even a good night kiss? I haven't felt the touch of your lips on mine yet.." He frowned.
"It's fun to keep you waiting." Forest winked, "Goodnight, Luke." She mentioned, closing the window and turning, walking toward her bed and getting in it, falling asleep.
A couple of months passed, and Luke and Forest saw one another every night, but Forest never allowed anything to happen. Forests first heat was agonizing for Luke. He knew she wanted it, but she was so strong. Damn.. how good of a Luna she would be. Though Forests' father still hadn't let up. Forest fought and fought, but nothing worked.. Her father seemed adamant not to let her be marked by Luke Doubos. Which, made Forest rather upset.
'It's not his choice.. You know?' Akira asked.
'Yes. I know.. I just want him to be happy.'
'Maybe if you just let Luke mark you-'
'Shut up, Akira.' Forest growled at her.
Forest just sighed softly, looking down at the floor. Her and her wolf had this fight on a daily basis. At least it felt like it. Which was annoying.
"Not hungry?" Her father asked.
Forest looked up at him and grumbled slightly. "No.." she spoke before just getting up and heading outside. Sitting on the first step of the porch, Forest hugged her knees close to her chest and rested her chin on them. Her icey blue gaze stared off into the pack territory. She longed to be with Luke right now. But, it was either her or her parents' happiness. She felt as if her heart was breaking into two. How could she be doing this? She was always told to follow her heart no matter where it led her, but remain loyal to your family. But, now her heart was being torn into two.. Her mind in shambles as all of the possibilities ran through her head. It was when she was about to get up that she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Dear.. Im sorry about your father.." Her mother spoke.
Forest always found her mother beautiful. She had long, fluffy locks of light brown hair, gorgeous dark chocolate eyes, a pointed nose, high cheek bones, and freckles. Forest got most of her looks from her dad, which many in the pack loved about her. "I mean, you're the cause of this all.. But it's fine." she spoke, seeing the hope drain from her mother's face. "I'm sorry, that was too far.." Forest sighed, shaking her head afterward.
"Don't worry dear.." Her mother stated before getting up and walking back inside.
After hearing the door to the house close, Forest got up. She ran to the center of the territory, shifting as she did so. She was now a pure white wolf running through the woods as she veered off toward Luke's territory. The young wolf sprinted at her top speed before getting tackled by a large brown wolf with a stripe down his muzzle.
'What is your business here!' The large brute snarled inside of her head.
'I am your future Luna, and I command you to get off of me!' Forest snarled back.
The wolf didn't listen. Instead, he plunged his teeth into Forests shoulder, Tearing flesh and hearing her yelp before he brought his now bloodied muzzle to her ear, 'Here's the thing... I don't care who you are.. All I know is you're trespassing.'
'Beta Syrus, get off of her!' Snarled a familiar voice.
'Alpha Fenrir, I'm very sorry..' The brown wolf whined and got off of Forest.
'Thank you.. Sir.' Forest mentioned towards Fenrir as Akira gently pushed herself to her paws.
Fenrir flicked his ears as he looked down at her, letting his orbs cross over her pure white fur. 'My son has been waiting for you.. Ever since Cas, his wolf, Met Akira.. He's been having a hard time.' He sighed, motioning for her to follow him. 'I know my son has been sneaking out at night.. and I think I know why.. Your wolf is ready to be marked, but are you Forest?' he asked as they walked toward the center of his territory.
'Sir.. I am ready.. It's my parents who are not.' She replied.
'Well.. My dear, that's not their choice..' Fenrir sighed.
'I can't begin to count how many times I've heard that in the passed few days.' Forest spoke with a small laugh.
Akira growled lowly, 'This doesn't feel right, Forest..'
Forest blocked out Fenrir for a moment, turning her minds attention to Akira, 'What do you mean?' She asked.
'He seems off.. I think Luke and Cas might be in trouble..' Akira whined.
'I don't feel it -' Forest mentioned.
Forest then turned her attention back to Fenrir when they arrived at their pack house. They shifted and were covered quickly with clothing by Fenrirs servants. "So, what's your real name, sir?" She asked.
"Fen, Fenrir is my wolf, but it sounds more appealing, so many call me it even in my human form." He told her as he waved his hand in a "follow me" kind of motion when he began to walk up the stairs.
'See Akira? Nothing to worry about,' Forest mentioned to her wolf.
Akira let out a shallow growl, 'Something still doesn't feel right..'
Forest rolled her eyes before they walked through the large oak doors and into the pack house. As they walked down the large and long corridor, the scent of her mate grew stronger. "Is Luke here?" Forest asked, only receiving a nod from Fen.
"Forest?" Asked a voice from behind her.
Turning around, Forest saw Luke and smiled, running towards him and hugging him. "Hi!" She giggled before smelling the scent of another female on him. Forest shoved him back and snarled before walking into her room and seeing the woman lying in his bed. Forests heart dropped. She could feel Akira snarling and trying to claw her way out.
"Forest.." Luke spoke, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't f*****g touch me!" Forest snarled at him, turning around and glaring at him. "How along has this been going on?!" She snarled at him, shoving him backward. The female snarled and got up, beginning toward Forest.
"Sierra, Don't!" Luke exclaimed.
Forest looked over at the female, Her pupils turning to slits as Akira worked her way forward. "He's mine!" She snarled before the white wolf came out fully.
Akira was now in full control, ears back, teeth bared as a large snarl came from her throat. She watched as the other woman's eyes widened.
"Forest!" Luke yelled.
'Forest isn't here right now!' Akira snarled at him inside of his mind. 'Traitor..'
'I haven't claimed you yet!' Luke snarled back.
'Doesn't matter..' Akira growled lowly, turning her attention back to the other female now, seeing her getting dressed on the other side of the bed. Her snarls grew louder.
Fen stood outside of the room, his arms crossed. "Luke.. What have you done.."
"What do you mean?!" Luke exclaimed.
Fen sighed and stepped into the room, "You know exactly what I mean.. We had a plan."
Akira was too invested in the other female, taking in her scent and making sure she'd remember it. Her ears soon rotated backward, listening to the men's conversation. 'You're lucky...' She growled at the female before turning around and running out of the room. 'Forest! Are you there?' She asked as she ran.
'Yes, why are we running? I thought we were gonna tear that cunt to shreds?'
'Fen and Luke had a plan of some sort.' Akira exclaimed, 'You didn't hear that?'
'No..'
Akira growled lowly before she continued to run. It wasn't long before the scent of that Beta from earlier filled her nares. Shit.. She thought as she sped up.
'Stop.' The beta demanded softly, growling only slightly.
Akira and Forest both ignored his wishes as they crossed over onto the Wilson Territory. The Beta stopped, a large snarl coming from him but the female just kept running until she hit her house. Akira panted as she trotted around back. 'I'm tired now.. You take over for a bit..'
'Was planning on it.- Forest stated. After the shift, Forest quickly went inside and to her room, but she didn't smell or see her parents anywhere. "I hope they're okay.." she mentioned to herself before the adrenaline rush from everything that just happened calmed. Forest screamed in pain at the large gash on her shoulder. "Shit.. I almost forgot.." she mumbled.
'No wonder I'm so sore.' Akira mentioned.
'It's a wonder you ran as much as you did..' Forest told her with a small laugh as she rummaged through some things. 'I'm going to take my parents over there tomorrow with our best warriors and reject him..' She mentioned as she found what she was looking for and began stitching her shoulder. 'We shouldn't shift until this heals over the full way.. which shouldn't take too long.'
'Sounds good to me' Akira agreed.
After stitching herself up, Forest got into some clothing comfortable enough for a walk. She then began down the stairs where her parents walked in the door. "Oh my god! I'm so glad you guys are home!" She exclaimed, running over to them.
"Where did you go?!" Her mother exclaimed, bringing her into a hug quickly as Forest ran over.
"I went to see Luke.. Im rejecting him. Get the warriors together, and we can go now!" She told her parents, looking back and forth between them. Seeing their faces getting even more sad. "What's wrong..?" She asked.
"We talked to the priest of the pack today.." Her father spoke, "The moon goddess, She told him that no matter what, he won't reject you.. Apparently, that pack has been obsessed with you ever since you were born.." He told her, placing a hand on his daughters shoulder.
"So.. Thats what they meant by plan." She sighed, now turning away from them and walking over to the couch, sitting down.
Her mother looked even more worried now, "We will keep you safe.."
"Mom, I will always have a pull to Luke." Forest spoke, "If they threaten-"
"They already have..." Her father stated.
"Then I will go and let Luke mark me.." She told them. "For the pack, and do not stop me." She spoke, "I will go tomorrow.." She sighed before turning around and heading back upstairs to her room.
The next morning, Forest got up. She hadn't slept almost at all since the night before. 'Today's the day..'
'You sure we want to do this?' Akira asked.
'Yes, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it.' Forest stated to her in a rather domineering manner.
'Alright, Damn.'
Pushing Akira to the back of her mind for now, Forest pushed off her bed and walked over to her dresser. She packed a bag and got ready for her knowingly long life with her mate, who only wanted her to get revenge for his father. Forest soon walked down the stairs and sighed, looking at her parents. "I love you guys, Bye.." she mentioned to them before walking out the door, not giving them room to have a say in anything else.
