Anuk-ite is an ancient shapeshifter known as a creature of disharmony that can manipulate people into turning on each other. It s able to do this by creating and amplifying a person's fear, as well as any associated emotions such as paranoia, panic, anger, even suicidal ideation.
Abby
We'd been running for hours. We needed to stop. I knew we had to keep going, but I could see my pups tying they'd asked a while back, ”mom can we please stop? I'm tired and hungry.”
I replied, “In a while, we need to be sure that the darkness that was following us has disappeared.”
They groaned but continued running alongside me. Storm sniffed the air looking around. “I think we're safe Abby, the darkness has subsided.”
“That's good news right?”
“Good or bad. Take your pick, it's good the air has lifted and we can finally breathe again.”
“Okay.”
I mind-linked both Serenity and Sergio. “We're going to stop for a while. We all need to eat and sleep.
“Thank God.”
“Is it safe mom?”
“Storm says it is.”
They both nodded, and we continued running across the crunching dried dirt until we finally came to a clearing that's where we decided to sleep for the night out in the open fresh air that didn't smell like rotting flesh.
The air was freaking and brisk. We all smelt the air it smelt of lilies and grass it smelt like… Home.
And deer.
Our ears propped up and we all growled before going to hunt mode and hunting our prey. We slowly and steadily approached the beast. Thought it would more likely be scared of us. We were low on our stomachs watching the deer in wait till the perfect time and we pounced its head shot up and was on the run instantly. Our paws pounded across the dried-out grass. Slowly at first playing with the fear-stricken deer until we upped our speed. That's when the deer tried to run away from us but we had it cornered, bringing it down. It fell with a thud in the ground and we all dived in ripping the flesh off it to eat.
Once we were done we strolled across the grassland and finally found water where we washed the blood off our snouts and drank some water and where we all decided this would be a perfect spot for tonight to sleep. We all lay on the grass beneath us saying good night and closing our eyes.
Growls awoke us from our sleep. We all woke to look directly at what had woken us. A pair of pure purple eyes stared back; they weren't like our eyes; they were clouded over no pupils, just pure purple.”
“Who the hell are you and why are you on our land?”
“Sorry, we didn't know anyone owned this land. We were just passing through.”
“No one comes through here, no wolf dares to come through our lands.” The wolf spoke nope, not exactly a wolf. As I looked closer it looked more I realised what kind of shapeshifter we were up against. Its purple eyes were glowing brightly. There was only one creature that could own such eyes.
“What's going on mom?”
“It's alright pups nothing to worry about,” I said knowing it was an outright lie. There have been a lot of stories about these mythical creatures and that they're almost as dangerous as the Daimōn wolf. They can shape-shift and are known to turn the closest of wolves against the other.
Anuk-ite.
“What are you doing here wolf before I lose my patience.”
“I think I have already given you my answer. We're passing through, we'll be on our way and out of your hair ASAP.”
“Yes you may have answered, but the question is why are you three alone in our territory? Where is your pack?”
“We don't have one.”
“I find it hard to believe such a wolf as yourself should be in a pack or leading it.”
“Well, we're not.”
It grinned evilly. “Well, I guess no one will care you've gone.”
Hugh? What?
A group of these wolves circled us.
“Mom, what's going on?”
“I don't know honey but I think we're about to find out.”
“Any last words she-wolf?”
A howl echoed across the clearing. The wolves surrounding us seemed uninterested in it. The ground beneath us shook like an earthquake.
Like thunder rolling.
The thudding of paws grew closer and suddenly an unorthodox fox appeared in front of all of us teeth bared eight tales in all damn this one's new even for me. I've read upon all mythical creatures but had never seen either of these mythological creatures until now. First, we saw an Anuk-ite.
Now right in front of it was a Kitsune. It is believed that a Kitsune is a supernatural species of a Japanese fox spirit that is also referred to simply as "foxes." It is a creature that has lived for centuries, and it grows more powerful as it ages because it is a spiritual creature, its physiology is different from that of true shapeshifters such as Werewolves.
It is believed that there are around 13 different types of mythical kitsune, each corresponding to a different “element”: Celestial, Darkness, Wind, Spirit, Fire, Earth, River, Ocean, Mountain, Forest, Thunder, Time and Sound.
“Out of our way fox. They are trespassing on our territory.”
“Not a chance Two faces. You know the rules and you chose to go against them. You may be feared by most because of what you can do to destroy everything and everyone around you with your bullshit. But, I'm telling you now it's not going to work with me. You know damn well who these wolves are. They are defendants of the moon goddess and if you so much as lay a hand on any of them you will be banished. You know the prophecy you can't interfere.”
“I don't give two f***s about no f*****g prophecy attack!”
A growl roared a lot louder than before. Had the wolf who had growled before arriving?
The fox glowed bearing its teeth.
The next words we heard were, “Mine!”
All heads snapped around and the fox had disappeared.
