Alice squatted down and gently stroked their little heads. She didn't know how to tell them about what happened between adults. Children should be carefree and happy.
"We won't go out to play today. Mommy is here to see you because I have work tonight, and Grandma can't come either..." she said.
The three little ones looked up at Mommy, pouting with helpless expressions.
Alice felt guilty. "After these two busy days, Mommy will take you out to play."
A little boy next to them came over. "Sister, can Isaac and them sleep with us at school?"
The three little ones hesitated.
Alice asked, "Do you want to stay at school?"
"Yes!"
Alice thought it was a good idea to have little friends to play with.
