An Alpha's Revenge

Chapter 8

Astin POV

  Goddess this has been the best night I have had in awhile, being in this moment with Anna was indescribable. I never wanted this moment or night to end. Unfortunately I knew that I had to go home and answer my father about whether I had found the girl he was looking for. I don't know what he wants Anna for but I have to make sure that he does not find her and protect her at all costs.

   "Hello! Dude what the f**k? Are you even listening to me?" Anna yelled in my ear causing me to go temporarily deaf.

   "For all the sacred why the hell are you yelling in my ear. I am a wolf of course I can f*****g hear you!" I yelled.

   "Well get your s**t together you spaced out and I was trying to get your attention. I refuse to be ignored even by you got it. I have to go the others are going to be looking for me, I have some stuff that I need to take care of."

   "Wait what stuff do you need to take care of? What's going on love maybe I can help?"

    "It is nothing you need to concern yourself with right now okay. I now you are my mate and all but that is a lot to be telling you the first time that we officially meet don't you think."

  "Maybe but maybe I can help you with whatever is going on with you. I want to be able to help you."

   " I appreciate it Astin but right now this is just something that I need to handle and when the time comes I will tell you about everything. Can we just go back please?"

   "Yeah we can go. I have some stuff I need to take care of also."

   I got up and heled her up so we could head back to the party. It was just a fifteen minute walk but it seemed like this walk was taking forever. She was deep in her thoughts  that I don't even think she was fully here with me. I want to be let in but I understand that this was just our first time meeting, even though we did kind of jump each others bones back there. I want her to know that no matter what she was going through that I would always be here to protect her no matter what. I know that when I return home that I have to answer to my father about whether or not this was the girl that I was supposed to be looking for. She was the only girl that I really had my attention on but she could be the one and if that is the case I need to know what my father was up to and why me finding Anna was so important.

Anna POV

   Damn, 

    I really found my mate. So much is rushing through my head and I cannot form a single thought. I am grasping at straws here. The walk was tense and just like I was deep in thought he was as well. I am kind of ashamed that I just up and had s*x with him today, we just barely met officially today and I acted like a teenage girl swooning over there favorite celebrity. What in the hell is wrong with me?

  "It's the mate bond," I heard Athena in my head, "It will get stronger the more you are around each other and when you are apart you will feel like you are missing a part of you as well."

Aww well that is just great I thought just when I thought things couldn't get any worse we walked into the party where it seemed like a lot of commotion was going on. Almost all of the guests were running around yelling and crying. Some were even coughing. I spotted Orlando looking around and ran up to him.

 "Orlando what is going on why is everyone running around and yelling"

 "Someone spiked the were-wine with wolfsbane and now everyone is having a reaction to it and are being disconnected from their wolves. I am so happy that you are okay though and have not been exposed to it."

  "What about you? Why are you not acting like they are?"

  "I train with wolfs-bane Anna, I know what it smells like and how it acts. Besides I have not had any were-wine in the last two hours. We need to get you out of here there is nothing else we can do for them it has to run it's course and get out of their system. They will be fine tomorrow."

  I looked around frantically, "Where is everyone?"

  "They are waiting for us out front we are going to go stay somewhere else for the night, they all need to stay here and let things progress naturally. Where is Astin? Is he coming?"

  I looked behind me but didn't see him, "I don't know he said he had to take care of some stuff when we had gotten back to the party. I don't know where he went."

  "We can not wait we need to go. You can find him later my job is to protect you and make sure our pack has an alpha that will lead them."

 I follow Orlando without another word through the Pack-house out to the driveway where everyone and two black SUV's waited for us. I saw Jake and quickly ran into his arms. 

 "I am so happy that you are out here and not inside high and dying of wolfs-bane." I whispered in his ear.

 "Oh honey it would take a lot more than wolfs-bane to take me down. Thank you though I am happy you are safe though. I need you to go with them I have to stay here with  my dad and mom and help them get things under control. I will come to you as soon as I can."

 "Okay stay safe I don't know what's happening, but it has to be connected in some way. Call me as soon as you can."

 "I promise I will. Get in the car you need to go now."

 I gave Jake a hug and got in the car with Orlando, while the others got into the other car. The door closed and started pulling out of the driveway. I watch Jake wave from the driveway and go inside to and help his parents. I turned around and stared straight ahead as they drive me to goddess knows where my wolf has been extremely quiet tonight as well, but there were two things that were going through my mind at the moment.

  What the hell is happening and where the f**k is Astin?
