WEEK 1 outline

1. A dystopian world, ravaged by a human-robot war. Our protagonist is Charlie.

2. History- Sentient androids were introduced to the world. Humans do not respond well to them. Humans attempt to destroy their remote island home with a nuclear warhead. The androids are peace-loving, but they have no choice but to deflect the warhead using their tech. A nuclear weapon with one superpower's name thus ends up landing in another superpower's territory. Already brimming tension breaks and Nuclear war ensues. Half the population is killed off in the war. Once the war ends, the androids emerge from their island to offer aid. Humans refuse and declare war on the androids. Humans are losing. Androids offer peace deals at every turn, and at last, the humans accept. Androids turn the radiation ridden wasteland into their home and transform it into beautiful cities. The surviving humans live in the few inhabitable bits of land, shunning all contact with androids.

3. Background- Charlie is a 15-year old girl. Mom is a survivor of the last robot war that killed dad. Charlie's brother Tom is a budding 11-year old revolutionary who hates androids with pure venom. Charlie's twin sister Evan died of cancer due to radiation when they were seven. Charlie does whatever she can to keep the family afloat.

Scenes:

1. Tom runs off with this friends to the fence (which separates human land from android land). They attempt to take down the fence and destroy android property. A fire breaks out. Charlie manages to save Tom and get him out but ends up unconscious on the android side of the fence with second-degree burns.

2. Charlie wakes up in a sleek, polished, strange home. She was rescued by androids, one of whom is Stella. Their tech leaves Charlie as good as new. The androids let Charlie go back home.

3. Charlie spends too much time at the fence, confused and seething. She sees Stella again. Charlie is repulsed by Stella, but Stella is fascinated by Charlie.

4. Tom gets to know about Stella. He and his friends talk Charlie into befriending Stella to capture her.

5. Charlie is initially pretending to want friendship with Stella, but over time her feelings become complicated.

6. Charlie decides not to betray Stella, but it's too late. Stella gets captured by Tom and his friends.

7. They take Stella apart in a garage. Charlie tries to talk Tom into letting Stella go. He doesn't listen. Charlie knocks Tom out, holds his friends off with a g*n, and busts in all ready to rescue Stella. Finds Stella almost in pieces, but still able to talk. Stella says Charlie is too late. Charlie knows what's about to happen, what has to happen. Stella self destructs, taking Charlie, Tom, and everything else with her.
