The Prophecy

875 Words
George’s POV “Wait, what prophecy?” I asked. “It’s been told that in the kingdom of werewolves, a she-wolf will be born with power greater than the alpha of all alphas, her fur shines in the sun and is as pure as untouched snow. She gathers all the powers of her opponent. She may either give life or take life, she’s the true daughter of the moon goddess herself. She’ll be born with the mark the moon goddess. She would be the life and death.” Henry said. “But how do you know that Ms. Eleanor is the one?” I asked. “Because she bears the mark of moon goddess. On her heart. We witches are the witness to the event. The moon shined brightly on that day when Eleanor was born and the power even as a baby, rolled out of her so much that the withered trees in the forest came to life.” Cynthia added. I was awe-struck. I had no words to describe my thoughts or the state I was in at the moment. My mate, my beautiful princess mate was destined for great things. But she would be in constant danger. Wait, if she was so powerful, why was she training? I asked Henry and Cynthia both the same question. It was Cynthia who spoke up. “Because, she was unaware of her powers. Her wolf ascends to the power only when she meets her mate. Till that point, we along with King William and Queen Martha thought that it was not safe for her to give out her scent. So me along with the high witch council, put a spell on her not to give out any smell of being a wolf. Also, king William and Queen Martha, they moved to an ally pack of Alpha Philips, Full Moon pack to make sure the child was not discovered soon. They also made sure that the princess’ wold not discovered in the meantime. They trained her well to keep her wolf under control under all pressures and situations.” To say that I was tongue-tied was an understatement of the century. My mind totally went blank. When I regained my senses mentally, the only thought that crossed my mind was to keep her safe at all times. The rogue alpha was looking for her. For my mate. With that thought, all I could see was red. Anger surged through my body, and I was visibly shaking. “Goerge, are you alright? Calm down this instant.” Alpha Henry said. “Mine.” That was all I mustered to speak. But everyone clearly heard it. “You met your mate? That’s great. Who’s the lucky girl, George. I want to meet her soon.” Henry added. “It’s Eleanor.” “That explains her first time shifting”, as if she spoke up her thoughts, Cynthia looked around and said. Nicole and Cole, who were silent this time in the corner of the room, nodded their heads as if they understood it all now. Alpha Henry was immersed in his thoughts. “That’s a good thing. I can now relax, knowing El is in safer hands” he finally said. “Don’t worry uncle. I’ll take care of her with great care.” “Be careful alpha George. With the power she carries, her wolf does not like to be restrained. She might hate you if you become overprotective of her.” Cynthia added. “I won’t let anyone touch her. If anyone has anything to do with her, they have to go through me first.” I said angrily. “All I’m saying is alpha, that you need to give her, her own space. In face of danger, she might also want to join the fight. If you lock her up in her room or basement, in thought of keeping her safe, you might never know, what happens afterwards. It may be the end of your relationship.” Cynthia’s words made Alex angered, but it was ringing in my mind. She may be speaking the truth, but me and my wolf, wanted her to be away from any fights. Even if it was just  a thought. “She’s right.” My mate chimed in. No one noticed her coming in. I was immersed in my own turmoil, that I didn’t notice her smell. She came up to me, looked me in the eye and said “Mate.” Her voice was so beautiful, like wind chimes, I got lost in her eyes like the world around us has disappeared. Alex was like a dancing puppy, barking mate, mate, mate. “Shush now.” I had to scold him, in order to focus on my mate. “Mark her, make her ours now,” goddess help me, he was giving me a headache. Like a gentleman I’m, I took her hand in mine and kissed it saying, “Hello Princess, I’m George Oliver Woods, Alpha of Royal Blue Swan Lake.”
