Moving out

While I came out of these thoughs, I noticed Henry observing me patiently and carefully, waiting for my answer.

My cheeks became flushed with embarrassment. “Sorry, I was thinking.”

“It’s ok dear. Are you going to answer my question?”

“Yes.” And I told him everything till today’s meeting. And he was very patient and never once stopped me in between.

At the end of my narration, I looked up and saw tears in his eyes. “Are you ok Mr. Henry?” I asked.

“Uncle, call me uncle dear.” What ??

“Let me introduce myself properly dear El, my name is Henry Collins d’ Castle. And I’m your father’s younger brother and Beta of the Royal Luna pack. In lieu of your father, I was the acting Alpha.”

“Now that you are here, I want you to come back and take charge of the throne, which is rightfully yours. He said with a expecting tone and look.

I was taken back for sometime.

“Uncle, I am glad to know that I’ve a family and I’m no more alone. But I have a life here and I’ve my business to take care of.”

“You can do that from the pack house and your office too dear. Infact, you can take you business to the next level with all the available resources. The pack has much more to offer and it needs their Luna Queen.”

I thought about for a second before I said, “Ok uncle, I’ll move to the pack, but I’m not sure if I’m ready now to take over anything. I don’t know anything about running a pack or duties that I’m supposed to carry out. I’ll be introduced as a pack member for now, but when the time is right and if I feel I’m ready, I’ll take charge is that ok?”

What is happening El? What are you saying? You just met him and you’re already moving out of your zone and stepping into an unknown world!! I was mentally debating still, but before I could go insane and lose my thinking ability, also I didn’t want to lose my only family now that I found it, I blurted it out in one go.

Uncle Henry was more than happy and quickly shot out of his chair towards me and dragged me into a bone breaking hug.

“u.n.cl.e. c.a.n’t. b.r.e.a.t.h.e”

“Sorry El, am so happy. We leave tonight.” He said excitedly.

“what? No, I’m sorry Uncle. But I’ve things to take care of. I also need to inform Jonas, my pack’s alpha, Rosie and also I’ve to take Vicky with me. She has no one apart from me.”

“Slow down dear, we’ll take care of everything. Why don’t you call up Mr. Jonas, while I’ll send cole to get your things from the apartment and also fetch Vicky.”

“Cole?”

“He’s my beta.” With that a young man in his twenties, well nearing thirty, I can see, entered our private room. He was also a handsome young man with blue eyes and reddish blond hair standing tall at 6’2”. He bowed towards us and said Alpha. I quickly gave my address to uncle. Then uncle Henry and Cole were having a a discssuion. After that Cole left. Uncle said that he was on his way to my apartment now.

“Oh okay.” With that I pulled my phone and dialled Jonas. His number was always on my speed dial and I kept in touch with him ever since I moved here. Though he was busy, he always had time for me.

He quickly answered after three rings.

“Hello”, he was panting.

“Jonas, are you alright? You seem to be out of breath. What happened?” I asked him.

“Oh hey El, how are you? I’m sorry I didn’t see your name.”

“What are you doing anyways?”

“I.. I…” he stuttered. I could feel he was blushing. He never stuttered like this before. That means only one thing.

“OMG Jonas, you found your mate and I’m disturbing you in the middle of your romantic evening.” I teased him.

“El…. ” he chided. But I could say he was beet red right now.

“Ok, ok. I won’t disturb you anymore. I just called you to say that I found out few hours ago that I have an uncle, my father’s younger brother. He wants me to move in with his pack. And I will be, tonight.”

“I’m glad to hear that princess. Be safe and keep in touch.”

“How did you know?”

“well. Alpha Philips brought me up to things when I took over. Will explain everything soon princess, once you’re settled and all. But this is not the time. And definitely not over the phone.”

“I understand. Hey congratulations by the way. I hope to see you soon and your mate.”

“Sure. Be safe.” With that the call got cut.

I went inside the private room of the fancy hotel we still were in and I could see Vicky along with our bags. Cole was standing there, besides Vicky and was staring at her with puppy eyes. “Vicky, I see you met my uncle, and Cole” I said. She blushed immediately with a nod and kept her head down.

I raised my eyebrow and it was Cole who quickly answered me. “Sorry Princess, I’m Cole, Cole Jackson, Vicky here is my mate.” “Congratulations Cole and Vicky. And please, no princess business please. Just call me El. I’m very not used to it.”

“Okay” he said.

Uncle quickly cleared his throat and spoke up, “Okay, so now that everything is settled, let’s go.”

“wait, I still need to see Rosie.”

“Oh yes, on our way, we’ll visit her dear. Now let’s go. Our ride is here.”

With that we quickly made way to the car that was waiting for us outside. While on the way, I quickly called my assistant May, and said that I’d be out of town for some days, and asked to keep me posted about the business, while she’d handle it from here in my absence. She asked me how long would I be gone, but I didn’t want to go into details, also, I myself did not know how long will I be gone for. So I simply said “A few weeks”.
