I returned to the hotel and, as I expected and hoped, Cal had not returned. I was able to meet up with Ambrose to tell him about the project changes he was interested in, had a not so tiny argument in public with him, and then I was able to go back home with a solution to our latest problem. I was very relieved when I entered the hotel room and closed the door behind me. The curtains were drawn, giving light to the rest of the room from the outside. When I walked through the door, the same feeling I had when I returned to my apartment after a while of being away came back to me. The hotel no longer felt like a homely or welcoming place.
