He carefully placed me down on the bed before he pulled on the covers on the bed. The entire time he made sure to keep his eyes from my body until the bedsheet had covered my body safe for my left hand which I kept outstretched to avoid staining the sheets. When my body was covered, he told me to wait for a moment as he left the room to find someone who could provide some relief for the wound on my hand. While he was gone, I rested my left hand on my thigh, above the bedsheets. I didn't care that it would be covered in my blood; someone would take care of it later. I was shivering from the cold and my head felt like it was filled with ice. The water in my hair had got to it and if it were left for long, I would catch a cold.
