Marcus Pov There was something satisfying about arriving on campus before everyone else. The hallways were quiet. The offices were still locked. For a little while, it felt like the university belonged to those of us who loved being there. I unlocked my office and wasn't surprised to find Debbie already inside. She was sitting behind her desk with her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose, typing away so intensely that she didn't even hear me come in. I stood there for a moment. "Miss Greene." She jumped slightly. "Oh my God." She placed a hand over her chest. "You nearly gave me a heart attack." I laughed. "I'll take that as my good morning." She smiled sheepishly. "Good morning, Professor." I walked over to my desk and noticed everything had already been arranged. L
