Stella stopped dead in her tracks. She couldn't comprehend the reason behind Sherry's sudden gloat. One second later, Stella felt Sherry fiercely tugging on her arm before giving it a rough shove.
"Ow!" Sherry's howl was accompanied by a muffled thud. Stella stumbled and used all the strength she had left to regain her balance!
She watched as Sherry tumbled five or six steps down the stairs. The worst part was that in the eyes of outsiders, Stella was the culprit.
