JUST like yesterday, Regina couldn't focus on her work no matter how hard she tried. What she saw earlier was lingering in her mind. It wouldn't go away despite her efforts. Even Clint's calls to check if she had eaten went unanswered. Her eyes were also in intense pain, becoming swollen from the continuous crying.
She didn't even realize what time it was. She was reading the documents she had, but she couldn't understand any of it.
She sighed and shook her head. The image of the child she met earlier, as well as her calling Fabian "daddy," was still vivid in her mind. It brought back the pain of what happened six years ago, and she couldn't help but feel hurt once again.
Loving again seemed scary. She didn't want to. She feared being deceived again like Fabian did.
