Chapter 7

Alissya POV

I wake up in my bed with a headache from Hell. What the f**k happened?

'Mate marked us!' Fayth exclaims wagging her tail like a love sick puppy.

'WHAT?!'

'Oh yes, it felt wonderful, but then you had to pass out' 

'Last thing I remember is telling him to stop and trying to get away.'

'Quit rejecting our mate Alissya!' she yells at me.

'He's a monster, he killed so many for no reason.'

'He is trying to change but you rejecting him, is going to turn him mad again. He needs us Lissa.'

I roll my eyes and block her out for now. I have to go find this d**k and give him a piece of my mind. I step foot out of my room and right into a solid chest. I sling out a few choice words and look up. "YOU! You...you asshat!" I got o slap him but he easily catches me by the wrist and pulls me into his room. "No, let go of me!" He pushes me into the room and locks the door. I gulp and shake my head clearing away the temporary fear to remember how angry I am. " What were you thinking?"

"Calm down and we can talk."

"Talk? Seriously? You freaking marked me!"

"Yes i did, and now we need to talk about our next steps" he states so casually like everything is just handy dandy.

"There are no next steps. I will lock myself in my room for the next few weeks til it's time to go home and then reject you!"

This sets him off. The next thing I know I hear a growl while I'm being lifted off the ground struggling for air. My hands automatically go for my throat just to find he has his hand gripped around it.

"YOU WILL NOT REJECT ME! YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE ME!" He roared. "If you leave, not only do you die for resisting the bond, but everyone including women and children will die in your pack. I never killed a child before, but for you I will."

"Please..." I gasp for air, barely getting enough. "Let me ... down." His eyes soften just a tad and he slides me back to the ground. I quickly gulf in the air, but his hand around my throat wraps around my waist.

"I don't want to have to hurt you but I will not let you hurt me or my pack!"

"Why is it so hard to understand I don't want to be a Luna!  Most do not get the respect they deserve and are usually the babysitter of the pack. They do not get to go out and fight!"

"Why are you so eager to fight and get killed?! What would our children think if both their parents went to battle and neither came back!" Wow, that was like a slap to the face. I never even considered that before, and I'm guessing he knew that as well. "Do you want to leave our kids as orphans? Hoping someone who take them in and treat them well? Do you not realize the things I've seen? I may seem like a monster to you, but I have seen things that makes the devil himself seem like a saint. I have seen parent-less kids being treated worse than a slave, being beaten, starved, one outfit, and sleeping in a closet or even outside." 

I can't help it this time, tears escape my eyes. "How can someone do that to an innocent child?" 

Levi wipes the tears off my cheeks, "I couldn't tell you love, but I need you so we can help more children."

"More?"

He chuckles, which this one makes my core ache. "Yes, I took in a lot of abused children. They are some of my best warriors now." 

How can he be nice to children after killing so many?

'There is more to the story Lissa. Please trust our mate.'

"Are you out of your mind?'

'Look into his eyes. Do you see any malice?'

I search his eyes, I see pain, power, and love? But no ill intentions. 'Okay, I'll quit fighting every step, but I'm not giving in right away.'

'That's a start' Fayth replies wagging her tail.

'Hold up! What happened? You did a complete 180?'

'I've talked to Onyx. Please get to know Levi a little better.'

'I'll try. At least until I know everyone is safe.'

I don't know what came over me, I blame it on the bond or his vulnerability or his kindness for kids.... Maybe all the above but I did something I never thought I would do. I wrapped my arms around his waist and snuggled into his chest giving him a hug that I believe we both desperately need.

" I don't know what came over you baby, but I hope you never let go. You feel perfect in my arms." I have to agree for once. Being in his arms just feels so right.

"Let's get you bed Lis... You've had an exhausting day."

"Hey Vi?" He startles. "Will you tell me why you want to change?"

He hums while letting me go. "That is a story for another day. If I tell you all my secrets now, you won't stick around." That causes me to smile.

"Okay, I'll hold you to it....Umm. " I pause, " Can I stay in here tonight?" Hey, don't judge me. I have a sudden urge to stay with him, and besides, after all that has been revealed, I doubt I'll sleep well.

"You can sleep with me anytime you want love." I squeal like a little girl who just got a basket full of candy and take off to his bed. Right before I get to it I hop up and belly flop right into the middle of his king size bed.

"Ooooh, this bed is so comfy" He laughs at me. I perk my head up and look at him. "You can actually laugh! OH MY GODDESS! I though you could only smirk, scowl, growl, oooof" All of a sudden I'm hit with a big a t shirt. "Hey!"

Levi now doubles over laughing, "You can.... you... " He stops and takes a deep breath. "Whew... okay. You can wear that shirt tonight, unless you want to sleep na"

"Nope this shirt is good. Thanks." I jump off the bed and rush to his bathroom. "Hey, do you have an extra razor and tooth brush I can use?" 

"Sure love." 

After I took my shower, towel dried my hair, brushed my teeth, and then brushed my hair, I step out of the bathroom to see Levi sitting on the bed reading. Goddess he looks so handsome right now. I could just jump his bones. WAIT! What?

'Faythhhh?'

'Those were your own thoughts this time' she laughs.

I roll my eyes and climb into bed and crawl up to the head of the bed. I pull up the blankets and climb under. "He Levi?"

"Yes?"

" I promise to get to know you a little better before the 4..." Next thing I know his body is above mine with his lips colliding with my mouth. I hesitate just for a few seconds and return his kiss. He suddenly pulls apart, and I already miss his warmth.

"You have no idea how happy that made me. I will answer all questions when the time is right. Now, let's get some rest. It's been a long day." He kisses me goodnight and then turns to have his back facing me. I feel lonely and cold, so I scoot my big ol booty over until it's on his lower back. "Mmm love?"

"Yea?"

"What are you doing?"

"I'm a little cold" I reply with a pout.

He turns over, "Okay come here." And he wraps his arms around me making me sigh in content. Levi kisses the back of my head and I drift off to Dreamland before I can even say goodnight. "Good night love."
