CHAPTER ELEVEN On the drive home from Odyssey Investigations Eva mulled over her discussion with Pete. She knew her reasons for suspecting Charlie of illegal business were weak, but she couldn't ignore her hunch. And she had a good feeling about Pete—if there was anything to find, he'd dig it up. Something was niggling her though, and after she'd arrived home and fixed herself some lunch, it came to her. She jumped up and went into Charlie's office. It was true, as she'd told Pete, that she'd already searched it—she did so regularly, searching for evidence of his infidelity—credit card statements, letters, phone numbers, anything. Of course she never found anything—Charlie would never be so careless as to leave any evidence there. But now she would come at it from a different perspectiv
