CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT September 2016 'It's good of you to drop in, Bishop. I'm in need of some company.' Father O'Halloran ushered in the bulky, ruddy-faced man whose presence filled his tiny living room. 'Would you like a cup of tea?' The Bishop made a show of looking at his watch. 'It's almost four. I think we could have something stronger, don't you?' 'Of course. Have a seat, I'll get us a Scotch.' Father O'Halloran went to a small cabinet and took out a bottle of Johnnie Walker black label Scotch he kept especially for the Bishop's visits. He went into the kitchen and returned with two glasses of Scotch and soda on ice. He sat opposite the Bishop in a worn recliner. They raised their glasses in a silent toast.
