A compliment.... A joke... and a question that change everything
Christy was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch. The aroma of the food filled the house, as Charles Chris best friend walks in. Christy, I have to admit you are beautiful and judging by the scent of your food you are also a good cook.
Christy laughs softly thanking him for the compliment. Charles took a bite and grinned, now I understand why Chris always rushes back home. Just then Chris enters.
Speaking of you, Charles said mischievously, there is something I have been wanting to talk about. Chris frowns, what is it?
Your mysterious crush,you hid her so well that none of us ever noticed.
Chris stood there for a while and starts shaking knowing fully well the person he has loved for over a decade is standing next to him.
Chris smiles, looks at Christy and leaves the kitchen.
This did not go down well with Charles as he had been Chris best friend and he still refuse to tell him anything more about himself.
Charles looks at Christy who is now wondering what could have gotten into Chris , she turns to the kitchen still lost in thoughts.
Charles walks towards the direction of Chris room.
Guy wetin sup you? Charles asks in confusion. Chris sits down in his bed wondering what he ever did to deserve all this. Charles, Chris said finally looking up let's have a drink.
Emmmm, ok if that will lighten up your mood let's go , I know a cool spot.
They leave the house as Christy locks the front door.
Charles and Chris are in a restaurant slowly sipping a can of alcoholic drinks.
Guy, wetin sup you? I mean this is not like you, you hardly drink alcohol.
Chris finally spoke, you want to know who I have been in love with for the past 10 years? Yes bro I mean, am your best friend and I deserve to know.
Chris smiles irritatedly, Am in love with my sister........ WHAT! shouts Charles as everyone turns to look at the two.
