22 “Esther, are you ready to go for a walk?” Brenda asked. Esther jumped. She’d been praying all week, but she’d also prepared her heart for disappointment. There were too many possible obstacles. Like Brenda feeling embarrassed because a nosy therapist asked why she’d started walking with Esther. Esther took off her name badge, grabbed her water bottle, and they set off. “I should go walking during lunch more often. I don’t get nearly as much exercise as you do, Esther.” “And I don’t have three young children to keep me busy.” Why did her heart always race before she talked about Jesus?
