Algai’s POV:
I watched her as she stepped away from the window, she seems like she had a plan, but she was hesitating, I wondered what she could possibly do, attacking us would be a fool move, and she probably knows that, and opening a portal to escape takes allot of time that we won’t give her, and allot of energy, which brings us to the point that’s been bothering me since the moment I laid my eyes on her, I can’t since her magic aura at all, I’ve seen people with extreme weak magic auras before, but it was a very rare conditions, it usually happened to those who are borne with an incurable illness, but in her case, it seemed like she didn’t have one at all.
I saw her closing her eyes and leaning backwards, before I could make a move, she was gone.
“My king! Did she just….”
“Disappear??Yeah, I’m glade I’m not the only one who’ve seen it, otherwise I would think I’m getting crazy”
The rest of the day I stayed at the office in my room, I had some paper work that needed to be done before the meeting, well at least that was the excuse I made, I just needed to be left alone for a while to clear my thoughts, all I can think of since morning was that girl, who was she, and most importantly how did she just vanish like that? No one can do that; so many questions running through my head right now; it seems that things are going to be interesting from now on; good…I’ve been bored these days anyway.
I heard a knock on the door.
“Come in”
“Your highness! King of the north has arrived”
“Well it’s about time isn’t it?”
I went out heading to his room to see him; I wonder what took him so long to get here; usually he’s the one yelling at me for being late and not taking my responsibilities more seriously.
When I arrived at his room I opened the door and got in
“You know closed doors are there for a reason, you can’t just barge in like that “he said with a cold expression on his face
“Oh come on brother it’s been a year since last time we saw each other, you must have missed me” I said while opening my arms inviting him for a hug with a smirk on my lips
“Yeah, not that much “he said mockingly and turned heading to his office
“That hurts my feelings”
“Sur”
“What are you doing? Please don’t tell me you are going to start working already, you just got here”
“Yes I am, and I suggest you do the same, you and I still have allot to do before the meeting “he said while poling out some papers from the drawer
“Would you relax a bit, everything well go just fine, like always”
He looked at me before heading towards the window
“I don’t know, something tells me things are going to be different this time “he just kept looking at the moon. I was about to ask him why he feels like that, then I heard an knocking on the door
“Come in “he said with his eyes still fixed on the view outside the window
It was my personnel servant
“What is it Saga?”
“Your highness I’m here to give you my report about the task you gave me”
“Well?”
“she was nowhere to be found in the castle, I asked every servant and soldier, no one had seen the girl , and no one knows how did she got in or how did she got passed the guards”
I saw my brother flinch when Saga mentioned the girl, that must have got his attention towards us;
“That’s fine Saga, you may leave”
When I heard the door closing after Saga had left, I turned to face him
“What girl? “He really gets strait to the point
“ this morning, general Vovok came to discuss some of his new military projects with me, when we were heading to my room we run into a strange girl in the hall, she didn’t look like a servant, but before we could catch her, she was just….gone”
“Dark hair… grey eyes…pretty face and strange clothes?”
“Ammmmm, that’s actually…….quite specific, and did you just call a girl pretty? Well that’s a first; you’re going to break lots of hearts”
He just ignored my sarcasm and went setting on his desk’s chair
“Do you know her?”
He kept quiet for a while before he could answer me,
“She found the armor “not exactly what I expected to hear; now I understand why he was hesitating;
“How did that happen? No one can enter the northern Bria without your permission”
“Not just that, she also opened the black door”
“What????Only the one who has the key can open that door, and I imagine you still have the key right?”
“Yes the key is safe”
“Well then how did that happen? “I shouted at him
“You think I don’t keep asking myself that? “He got up furiously heading to the window again
“I think she can teleport” he added
“That’s impossible no one can do that”
“Well, considering how did she got away from the Bria and how she managed to magically escape away even though you and the general were there, I think it’s the only explanation”
“You could be right, but in that case she wouldn’t need to open the black door, she could just teleport inside it”
That is the point I couldn’t figure out yet; there are just too many questions surrounding this girl”
“What do you think we should do?”
“There isn’t much to do; we wait until she appears again”
“And how are we going to catch her if she can teleport as you say?”
“Honestly, I don’t know, we wait and see”
At that moment, I heard the sound of a vase braking right behind me, I turned around to see what happened, I couldn’t believe my eyes… it was her.
