Fiona POV After a restless night full of tossing and turning, I trudge into work and sit at my desk. I quietly greet those who speak to me, but I don’t engage in conversation. I move through my morning tasks slowly, making sure everything is perfect, so I don’t have to interact with Nolan when he gets here. Luckily, I get almost another thirty minutes before he walks in, and even then, I only nod in greeting before continuing to retype the file in front of me. Nolan doesn’t say anything, thankfully. I don’t know how I would have responded if he made a comment on my attitude again.
