The tension in the room was thick enough to choke on. Stefano’s decision to keep the attackers alive didn’t sit well with everyone – especially Claudia, who was still seething in her seat. “We’ll keep them alive for now?” she repeated, her voice was dripping with disbelief. “What are we supposed to do? Feed them three meals a day and tuck them in at night?” Stefano shot her a glare. “We’ll break them,” he said firmly. “Just not in the way you’re thinking.” Claudia scoffed. “And what way is that? A friendly heart-to-heart? Maybe they’ll suddenly feel bad and spill everything?” Before Stefano could fire back, King Dominick raised a hand, silencing them both. “Enough,” he said, a low rumble was evident in his voice. “Bickering won’t solve this. Stefano is the Alpha. His decision stands.”
