THE HEALER'S CONQUEST

CHAPTER 3: AWAKENING

Because of the unforgettable experience that I had just witnessed I just planned to just rest for the day. Time passed and the darkness shrouded everything that signals everyone to enter and be in their homes. I was already lying down to sleep comfortably but unfortunately every time I get to close my eyes and waits to doze off but I can't for some reason. I would change and kept on not feeling sleepy, I kept on rolling left to right and from right to left. This continued until I just gave up on getting sleep and just sat down for the time being.

As I sat and realised that It was sweating a lot. It was cold especially since I was in a tattered house and surrounded by trees, so I being here and sweating was very questionable occurrence. I tried to get up when suddenly as I stood up. Sharp searing pain surprised me making me out of balance. I held my head for it was very heavy. My sight became blurry like I was in the. sea experiencing motion sickness.

"AHHGH! HUH! AHHGH!!!!". I shouted in grief for the headache became worst. I felt like my head was being hammered, being split open like as coconut, and. My vision became weird as I can see a very prominent colour surrounding me even though I was in the dark. It was different colours intermingling and switching from one to another. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet interchanging with each other in a non particular sequence they were very visible but very transparent as I can tell and identify things that they were covering.

Then strangely enough I heard a ringing bowl sound echoing coming from within the house.

*Ting!!! Kuang!!! Wang!!!*. Echoed as it reverberating around that I felt my body vibrating every time The varying sound frequency. Then a moment later the deafening sound disappeared and immediately changed into eerie silence so I heaved a sigh of relief because I expected it to be over but apparently not.Because I was proven wrong sometime later.

"I can't take this anymore. Please just stop". I called out to nothingness and became freaked out afterwards. Just a few moments later after I spoke, the noises around started again, but now it was coming from outside the house. Giggling voices like those of children. There are those who breathe in and out like a big person. Someone plays a piece with joy. It was as if they were encouraging me to come out and join in their fun.

Next came the sound of gongs and drums like the sound of Ethnic groups doing a ritual. Then someone suddenly spoke in my ear. The voice was cold as if it came from ice, it was from an old woman.

"Kid, we are here to inform you of destiny". She said that it scares me a bit because this is happening in real life unlike in a dream. Although I felt fear, I strengthened my will. I asked them what they meant that I should know.

"What do you mean and convey to me, Ancestors?" I asked with deep respect for them. Even though I can't see them, I feel like they are right in front of me.

"You are one of the chosen ones as the heir to being a healer". Reprimanded by an old man whose voice was unwavering and direct when speaking.

"Healer? I'm going to be a Healer?". I asked to confirm what they said because it sound so surreal to me.

"Yes, you are the one they chose to receive it". The elders' response to my question.

"But why was I chosen? There are others out there that I may not be able to take on that role and be responsible". I said doubting myself if I was ready for the future.

"Well I don't know either, that's their decision". The Man told me frankly.

"But don't worry and they will help you in any way, just like yesterday". The Woman assured me that I thought deeply.

"Who is that, the one who pulled me, and the one in my dream?". I asked immediately because I had a chance to know this but it didn't happen.

"Don't worry you will meet them too as long as you follow what we tell you". The Old Woman said so I listened carefully.

"What should I do?". I asked them with eagerness to know.

I took paper and a ballpoint pen which I use for sales. And the old woman began to speak again. As she spoke of the conditions I listed them in the notebook and multitasking as I need to keep up with what were they saying. Even though they spoke so slow for me to write down I just felt anxious that I could miss a single thing because I wanted it to be safe.

"And lastly, this is very important so listen carefully. When you get there be aware of your surroundings as there are things that you should avoid or fight. They will challenge your will and motivation to get there". She said with great cautiousness in her voice to warn me in my journey. So I nod to affirm that I understood and heard her warning for.

"Thank you Ancestors for coming to talk to me. I'm sorry if I was scared of you earlier". I said with an apology

"That's good, your reaction is normal, others will lose consciousness or urinate and vomit from fear. We will be even more surprised if you don't even feel fear". The old man answered.

"Oh, we're going to relax so you can sleep soundly and we woke you up because we opened your spiritual eyes so we could talk to you". They said goodbye to me and felt like standing up because of the sound of the floor.

"Goodbye, next time I'll see you too". I said that I accepted it when I couldn't run away because it was the Elements who said it.

After they left that's when I felt so sleepy and shortly was succumb into the peaceful and comfortable feeling that I ever wished earlier that time.
