I was about to barge into the room, quietly of course when something else caught my attention. The darkened corridor was illuminated at the other end, where some light escaped from the gap beneath the door.
My slow steps were making me wait for even more to find out what was behind that door but once I reached the other end, I was disappointed to find the door locked. While I was about to curse out under my breath, my ears perked up at the approaching footsteps.
Hide now, Iris! - shouted my senses.
