Previously: Two people, that's it Iris. You only gotta mmange twopeople and you cando it especially after you've already facedthe arrogant Theodore Ardolf. On our way out, I threw a last glance around dht aren but found Mr broody face missing. He had left long ago, probably when I was busy reading a report on his sister. If he only he knew, I doubt if he would even let me live the tired group of guards hopped into the bus that lead back to the mansion and only when I was about to hop in to, a car horn got my attention. A sleek black ferrari entered the premises before parkin shortly nearby. Out of it came a woman in gorgeous long dress that was fitted to her body and made her stand out in all of theplace. It took me only a guess to find out who was that. Found you, Victoria Ardolf. ------------------------------ "Get going, I wont't be joiing you." I said and undid the last few steps I had takenup into the bus. I ran a hand over my jacketand shirt before making myway over to her. Wy was I doing this hsit? I didn't know, but something about her spoke off. Something that I knew too well couldn't be taken easy. "Miss Ardolf?" my voice was plain, void of any emotion. She on the other hand wore a red satin dress that looked mesmerizing on her, she really looked like eon of those who would get their hands dirty with politic yet still manage to look as beautiful as day one. "Yes?" she asked confused and then took in my appearance. "You are a Bentley." Her voice changed and her tone was now sharp and piercing. Damn, I didn't know being a Bentley could do this to you. I didn't dare avert my gaze and held my head up a bit higher, "Yes, Iris Bentley." I introduced myself and extended a hand. I coldn't actually belive that she had anything to do with Katalina, because with that look and that appearance I would relate her to anyone but Katalaia. Victoria here seemed sharp, elegant and highly influencive which was far from what Katalina could ever achieve. "How can I help you?" she asked trying to act as professional as possible. "I have a question out of curiosity, what do you do in here? What's your job in this world?" My question was simple, threatening ad straight forward. Throughout the report that I had read of her, there was not a single mention of any experience with guns, any type of ammunition or battling skills in it. That made her stand out the most, she was something either hidden from us or else she was just useless but I failed to believe the latter. "Miss Bentley, that's very daring of you to ask from me." she said, a hidden warning somewhere igering in her words. Let it out in the open, who are you really? "Indeed it is. So, what do you do as an Ardolf?" I asked again. She sighed the wrapped her shawl around her shoulders tighter, "I am sure we cansit someday on tea and talk about everything I am capable of." With that she turned around and walked away. I watched her walk into the state, towards the main house and little did she know that before the tea I would already have ervything about her out in the open. At least I would try my best to do so. Whoever this woman was, I was now more than intrigued to know about her and everything she could do. There were only a few people in The Basilisks who had no talent, skill or use in here or they had kept it hidden for oem reason. Watevr it was, it surely was getting morenotticable now and sooner and later something was going to burst their bubbles. I lived in a world of crime and to think of someone as innocent here itself was a crime. A yawn escaped my mouth and only the nI realize how tired I was and what a long it had been, after a successful attempt to escape a wedding dress shopping. I looked around and cursed out loud because I had no ride home. I brought my phone out before typing a text to Beatrix. "Pick me up, outside Ardolf's state." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You do know that you're going down and you're taking me with you?" Beatrix asked me for the hundredth time after we got ou tof the car and began to make out way inside the mansion which I now called th ehellhole. I nodded the npushed her inside towards the stairs before making my way towards father's office. He and I needed a serious talk about every f****d upthing that was going on right now. Hisoffcie was located in the ground floor along the stairs and judging by the light illuminating form it sdoor, I could tell that he was up and workingor waiting for me, either way it was a good deal for me. I knocked at the door twice before I heard his voice and then I proceeded inside. "I don't want a single words form you Iris, you'll stand and listen now." he was angry and sounded a bit drunk. "Are you even sober?"I asked before I was to attempt a serious talk with him. "Silence Iris." he shouted and I nodded. No he's not sober. "What do you think you are doing? with all these pathetic tricks to get away form your fate?" he slurred but nonetheless managed to make proper sentences. His office of light colors, which included gray and a hintof navy blue here and there. "Your mother,-" he paused and laid back in is chair thinking of some thing that seemed to be a sweet memory. "She tried the same." His words took me aback, "What do you mean?" I asked not knwoing what he was signalling towards. "You were just a baby when she died." he was surely drunk because other than that he never talked about her. I was more interested in father's drunk state now then his sober one. "I told her to stop, I warned her but she never listened." his words were now now turning into slurs. "You know amber was the best thing that happen t me but sometimes we bring our demise upon ourselves." he kept going and I neve dared to stop him. What did he warn Mom about? Why is everything getting more complicated? "What does that have todowith me? and what did you warn her about?" I asked edging closer to him but he seemed too drunk to pay attention to my words. "father?" he shook him when I was close enough to him. "Tell me, what did you tell Mom?" He didn't budge instead opened the nearest drawer and drew his gun out, "This could protect you and kill you both at the same time. You can't back out of this Iris. Stop resisting it, it's too late for that." He kept talking about th wedding and his tone seemed to denote something else. "You have to get married, no matter what or they'll kill you." his slurred words were now making sense as I realized he was hiding mire form me and in his drunken stage he didnt know what he was talking about. "Did they kill mom too?" I asked him not budging, a new determination resounding in my tone. Father shared a small look at me as he laid back on his chair then avertedhis gaze. Howevrr, he never answered my question as the door later ursted open to reveal Katalina who was then the top person in my list to kill.
