Jax's POV
My steps softened. I walked towards Raven, my heart longing for her presence.
With no invitation, I sat down at the edge of the bed side, my breath sinking inside.
“ Raven…” My voice lowered.
Cracks of the pages of the book Raven was reading filled my ears.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, her tone casual with indifference.
I shifted closer to her. “Can you talk to you for a moment?” I asked, anticipating a response from her.
“Three minutes” Raven replied coldly, flipping to the next page of her book, giving me an icy treatment.
But a weak smile snickered my face as I intended to use my three minutes wisely.
“Thanks” I said and began. “ I have been having some challenges for some days now. This makes me sick inside, leading me to act coldly towards you”
