The drive back to Jenny’s house was tense. Erika tried to lighten the mood by talking about anything other than Matt being at Jenny’s house or Logan being at Luke’s Brew House, but neither worked. After a few minutes she gave up and sat silently while Jenny drove.
In the driveway Jenny pulled around Erika’s car and parked behind Matt’s. She took a few deep breaths and asked Erika if she wanted to come in.
“As much as I’d love to see the fireworks, I think it’ll be better if you talk to him alone. But text me later.”
