“Are you sure about this?” Jenny asked as she got out of her car. Erika was parked next to her and grinning like a fool.
“I’m sure. It’s going to work perfectly. I promise. And if it doesn’t, he isn’t worth it.”
Jenny nodded but didn’t feel the confidence Erika had in her plan. She knew Logan wasn’t going to be happy about being deceived. Again. But she was desperate. Jenny didn’t tell Erika but she called him when she went upstairs to get in the shower then again when she got out. His voicemail picked up on the second ring both times, letting Jenny know he was sending her calls to voicemail.
It stung to know he was refusing to talk to her, but she understood. Jenny said some horrible things to him, accused him of not caring about her. And he was probably protecting himself from her
