The moment her body crashed to her bed, she regretted making the deal without a second thought. So then, she has all possible scenarios worked out in her mind, and thankfully, it avoided her from dearest Cassian's wrath.. minus the deal part, obviously. Which she knew now weren't more than a fool's errand since she's now face to face with a certain someone's cocky grin. She couldn't help but to curse at fate whom made the whole gigantic city felt like a small town. An old friend stayed in touch, inviting her to her barchelotte party as its hosted at her fiance private property. "It's a closed party! You shouldn't worry about whatever you're worrying about because not just anyone could enter," she convinced her. But as she walked pass the tight security, and come to congratulate the bride-to-be, guess who stood up from his seat with an evil smirk plastered on his face, and 'kindly' joined the two. So here she is, sitting on the bar table helplessly trying to get herself a drink, but couldn't even got herself to turn around as her movement is being blocked by pair of arms that stretch on the sides of her body, leaning on the bar table ever since her friend let them be, after giving her a few playful blinks. "You're still sure it's not fate?" "Can't i at least have a drink?" "No," he answered immediately, still with his smirk, earning her scoffing in return. "Fine. Where are you taking me?" She asked in submission, just wanting to get the whole thing over-with. "That's very nice of you to offer me an extra date. Excited much?" He laughs, as she only stared at him with bored look- or at least she tried to, since her heart has been parading inside of her chest since she laid eyes on him. "I'm just keeping to my words, Thompson. If you have no business, could you please back away? I'm dead thirsty," she speaks out, earning his muffled laughter in return. 'Why does he keep on showing that charming laugh?!' Her mind protest. He backs away to took a seat beside her, before made a move to call the bartender, and ordered drinks for both of them. The whole time he kept his eyes fixed on her, as she tried so hard not to be effected by it. She almost sighed out of relief when his gaze adverts, but then she noticed a femine hand on his shoulder as the person in a tight red dress put her back on her, and called him with a seductive voice: "Hey, Thompson." "Cox," he called back has his hands move to touch her hand, but as if she's reading the gesture wrong, she slides her her hand towards his neck sensually, and played his shirt with both hands. Casssandra herself is gratified that the bartender delivers her drink on time so she wouldn't have to deal with the sudden awkwardness. "Busy much, Mr. CEO?" She asked, still with the same tone. Alaric shrugs, before answering; "you know the deal." As she giggled, Cassandra couldn't help but to roll her eyes at how fake the laugh sounds, as if she's up to something. She was just about to say something, but as his eyes averted, his hand made a move to push his untouched glass toward Cassandra with a smirk on his face. "You can stop sipping your empty glass now," he offers; making the other pair of eyes finally realising her existence. She looked at Cassandra with clear dislike. "It's fine, i was just finishing," she explained, offering both a polite smile before walking away, looking for her her friend which disappeared into nowhere. Later, she found the person she's looking for, and joined her on her couch she's sitting at; welcomed with a teasing look. "Hey there men's Lady." "Amber, there's no such thing as-" "But there's 'ladies' man'," she exclaimed. Cassandra only raised her hand in surrender. They talked for quite sometime, catching up the time they had not seen each other, until suddenly Cassandra is surprised by her question. "Will you joining me soon?" Cassandra look at her with confusion stare, causing Amber to sigh. "Marriage, Cass. You've been hooking up with the guy for years now. I rem-" "We've ended it year back, Em," Cassandra cutted her. Amber looked truly surprised. She was Cassandra's good friend back then at her early university year, but as she has a change in her plan, their contact reduced to minimum, and when they talked, it's never of guys- so Amber had been thinking that they're stil together. "Cass, i didn't-" she waved her off, offering her friend a genuine smile. "It's fine. I should've told you, but you know-" "Old habit," they both said, then they laughed. Cassandra checked the time in her wrist, and frowns. "Em, i think i should leave," she apologized. "I have a meeting first thing in the morning-" Cassandra tried to explain, but Amber just wave her off. After promising to always stay in touch, Cassandra walked out the door. She looked around, trying to catch a vacant passing cab, but no such luck. Suddenly a familiar car pulled over. The window move to open, revealing Alaric's face. "I'll drive you home, come on," he invites her in. She was just thinking to refuse the offer, but after a second thought, she walked to the car, and walked in. The whole ride, they didn't say anything to another as the radio surrounds the car. She thanked him as they arrived on her destination, but before he pulled away, he left a window open as he called, "Cass." She turned for a little, and before she got to answer anything, his smile lit up as he spoke, "Pack your bags. I'm taking you on a vacation date."
