1.2 : Dancing with a stranger

575 Words
His lips moved into a quiet whisper, but it felt like she could've hear clearly of what he have said, and that made her heart beats a little faster; "How i miss having you in my arms." He twirl her around, and their movement flows easily as if they had practiced it million times before. Many stole glances their way, and one can't deny how perfect they look. She knew she should've wall herself around him, but one look at those blue eyes, and she couldn't help but let herself slip, and drown in that warm look she'd missed. His eyes went back to her cherry lips, and she could've sweared that his face moved slightly closer- having her heart beats a little faster, as her body froze. 'Snap out of it!' Her mind yelled. But as those lips are seconds away from meeting one another, the song ended. As if her concious is finally working, and she finally regained control of her body, she pulls herself away from his embrace. "Thank you for the dance," she said, giving him a small smile before walking away to another direction. He stood quietly, watching her as she walks away and then disappear behind a corridor, before backing away from the dance floor slowly. Whatever he's thinking, he tried to get rid of it by taking a glass of champagne from the passing waiter and finishing it in one glurp. ** The moment she went through the pathway, she exhales, and let her head falls, as she stood with her back leaning on the wall. Her heart thrudding fast in her chest, and she tried breathing down to calm it, but it's doesn't seemed to be working. The moment she closed her eyes, her brain seemed to zoom back to those clear blue warm eyes, and his tender touch. It's a lie if she said she hadn't noticed how they'd danced, how their every movement seemed like their mind is connected, and follows one another's lead. "No more," she whispers to herself as she shook her head- as if she's trying to wake her concious up, before continuin; "You said you'll put up a wall, this will be the time." She opens her eyes, taking a deep breath, and whisper those words one more time before she turns to walk away; "No more." But as she's about to walk to the toilet, to make sure she still looks okay, suddenly she felt someone grabbing her hand, and pulled it backwards. She almost fall for the impact, but her body crashed into a hard object instead that turned out to be a well toned chest. She looked up with her shocked face, and found herself staring into those bright orb she wanted so bad to afoid, and which stared back to hers. 'Move away!' Her mind ordered. 'You're standing too close!' But as if her attempt was worthless, her heart already went back to the pace it was then before she calmed it. But before she got to do, or say anything -as his hands grabs both her wrist in front of her so it's harder for her to struggle- she hoped he didn't realise it as she froze once more when she heard his words. "You've been walking away for too long. You can't expect me to just stand and watch for you to do it again," he said hoarsely, before his face moved closer to hers.
