He sat there calmly, scrolling down his laptop until stopped when the door comes to an open, revealing a woman with dark blonde hair in a black long sleveed shirt, and dark grey jeans, and a bag in her left hand. She almost frowned as she took in the man in the seat, whose giving her a meaningful smile. "How's your sleep?"
As she sat down on the empty chair to his right, she took out a small laptop from her bag as she half ignored him. "It's fine." Before he got to say anything, the door opens revealing a man in a grey suit. Alaric stood up, welcoming him as he later sat down to the seat beside Cassandra.
Mr. Marke smiled as he spoke, "Thank you for having us here, Mr. Thompson." As their conversation begins, they exchanged their minds on how business works, and how they share the same thought on some things. The meeting went smoothly as they're coming to an end, with Cassandra writing the points down, as she pays a close attantion the the details.
"Mr.Marke," Alaric calls, earning the man's attantion. "If you don't mind me asking, you're no longer young. Why do you still took matter into your own hands?" He chuckled a bit on the question, before answering it. "As you noticed, my wife and i, we can't appoint a heir because as a old fashioned man i am, i don't think being a leader is a job for a girl. I simply think that's too much responsibility for a simple young girl to handle herself, because certain someone is still rejecting the idea of marriage as she come to age," he chuckled again, as his eyes sending a secret quip.
"Well, Mr.Thompson, i'm excited to start the project with you," he said, standing from his seat, and the both shook their hand as Mr.Marke leads to leave the room. But as Cassandra was about to stand up from her seat, the chair was suddenly shifted and next thing she knew, he's face already covering her view, as he leaned down with his hands leaning on the arms of her chair. "What do you want?" She asked tiredly as he smirked; "You."
Not wanting to fall for his chessy lie, Cassandra rolled her eyes and pushed him away, that made him chuckle. "What a coincidence, don't you think? How long have it been? A year? And here we are, keep on crashing into each other's path." Her heart has already beating faster than it should when he answers her annoyed questioning. But as he walked to block her, she looked up to his eyes- wanting to give him an annoyed look that backfired at her, as she's now struggling to not drown in those beautiful bright blue.
"Let's make a deal, Cass," he said softly, returning her gaze. She calmed herself, and gave him a bored look as she questioned, "What?" - earning his smirk in return. "If we're meeting each other by coincidence -again- you'll let me to take you out for a date," he joyfully stated.
"And if not, then i'll let you off alone. I'll back up, and our meetings will be professional. Agree?" Thinking how big the city is- not to mention the states- and how she won't be staying in the city for long, she gladfully agreed to it. Praying that they won't be meeting.
'And if we do, i could just pretend like i didn't see him, right?' Her mind stated, forgetting to think 'what if she lose' before agreeing to it.
