The next time when I opened my eyes I was in a white room. As soon as I tried to move, there was an old woman preventing me from doing so.
"Are you okay sweetheart? "She asked me and I nodded a yes. Looking at her curly white hair I could say she must be in her late 50's.
"You have got a great boyfriend, you are the lucky one to have him. "She said to me and continued, "he's still here " I moved my neck a bit to see Chris behind the door. I could see his messy brown hair from the oval window.
I looked back at her and smiled, "Do you know what happened? "I asked her.
"I don't know the exact details but some friend of yours pushed you in water and you weren't wearing a mask, so water started getting accumulated in your body. That's when your boyfriend didn't wait for the rescue team and jumped in to save you. Then you were brought here. Your guy prayed at least 12 times until now. "She completed.
"Ohh! "Was all I could think of.
' Chris doing all this for me, why? 'Was the only question left to be answered.
"Are you gonna marry him? "She asked me and at that moment my eyes popped out of my sockets, my throat dried completely, I couldn't speak.
But there entered Chris, *relief*,
"Can I take her back to the room? "He asked the nurse.
"Yes, you can. "She said politely and then added "always keep her happy, my son, she's perfect for you. " Then she turned towards me, "nowadays you don't get boyfriends like him, never let him go "
We just looked at each other's face and nodded. Then she left both of us alone in the room.
"So someone saved my life!"I said while I tried to be in a sitting position and he helped me.
"Leave it, do you wanna walk back to the room, now? "He asked brushing off the earlier topic.
"Carry her back in your arms, son, "the nurse said as soon as she entered.
And Chris obeyed her.
