CHAPTER ONE

  Sheila Selena Aquorose tried to stop the quivering of her hands,she could literally hear the rapid sounds of her heart beating,she wasn't and will never be prepared for this moment.Today she was getting married to the Great king of Therondia after two years of Royal Engagement.she had tried to flee priority to this day but unfortunately her father had hindered her.

The door to the room opened and her father walked.Duke Magnus Aquorose gasped at the ethereal beauty of his daughter.Dressed in a long overflowing blue dress with a diamond studded bodice that hugged her ample breasts perfectly.

Her waist length blonde hair was dressed in stylish chignon and golden headpiece adorned her head .

He walked to her and took her cold hands in his,trying to warm them by slowly rubbing them.

"You're so beautiful,my darling".

"Father I don't want to do this"she weakly protested with tears brimming in her eyes.

     Magnus sighed,he and his daughter had fought over the topic countless times."you have no choice Sheila,Today is a ceremonious day,don't taint it".

"Father I can't help but think of Theia!.she was supposed to be her in this dress and in this room!.i_".

He sternly cut her off."But she's dead!.your sister is dead and the former king set another wedding between you and the king.you aren't the only one suffering from Theia's departure.we all are.Even the king misses the love of his life,so stop acting childish and perform your role Sheila".Magnus sighed dejectedly when he saw the tears cascading from his daughter's eyes.He couldn't do a thing despite being her father,It was the former king's order and going against the king orders was treason and the penalty was dead by the gallows.

      He brought out a pristine white handkerchief and gingerly wiped his daughter's cheeks.

"Wear a smile Sheila,The Royal carriage is here to take you to the palace",he said taking her hand in his arms.

If it wasn't for the presence of her father beside,Sheila knew she'd have collapsed and won't be able to do awalk down the long aisle.

The gigantic ballroom was filled to the brim with the visitors that were invited to the wedding.From king's to Queens and aristocratic figures filled the ballroom dressed in flamboyant dresses and demure coats and pants.

Sheila held her head high,starting at the raised dais where the king and high priest were waiting.Trying to keep the tears at Bay,she reached the altar and the a sizzling sensation warm her hand when the king took her hand from her father.

"May we begin the Royal ceremony.we are all gathered in this joyous occasion to bind king Aldrich Abrahamson and the maiden Sheila Selena Aquorose in marriage.let the bloodrite commence".A golden goblet of red wine was brought forward.The king pierced his father and a trickle of blood dropped into the wine.sheila winced slightly when the same was done to her,they both drank the wine and they received their vows.The king vowed to protect his queen and let her be a ruler beside him,while she vowed to take the kingdoms citizens as her own people and remain loyal the king.

       The moment the priest announced in a loud clear voice the two as The King of Therondia and his Queen,loud applause filled the ballroom,They moved to a high balconey where thousands of citizens in the capital city and those that had travelled from other Therondia cities were throwing white flower petals ,whistling and chanting "long live the king and queen of Therondia".Sheila could feel the heavy chains that had bounded her already...
