Unexpected connection

Saturday has always been the most boring day for dorah. As usual, she was alone

in the house. She decided to go to grandma's house. As she was going, she stopped

by a supermarket and get some fruits for grandma. On getting there, she pressed

the doorbell and waited for it to be opened. After some seconds, a young guy came

to opened the door. "Is grandma home?" Dorah asked. "Yes" the guy answered.

"He looks familiar and also sounds familiar" Dorah thought. "Okay, tell her that

Dorah is here" Dorah said. "Dorah" He repeated in a surprise tone. "Yes" Dorah

said. The young boy turned and called grandma. "Grandma, someone's looking for

you" The boy called out. "Who's that?" Grandma asked from inside. "Dorah" "let

her in" grandma said. "Come in" the boy said as he made way for dorah. "I already

told you that if anybody named dorah ask for me, you should let her in even if I'm

not at home" grandma said as they got to her . "I've forgotten that" he Said and left

for his room. "Dorah, how are you?" Grandma asked. "I'm good, granny" dorah

said as he sat down. "Guess Agnes has gone to work?" "Yes, granny" dorah said

and handed over the fruit to her. "I remember you like fruits so I bought you some"

Dorah said. "You shouldn't have stress yourself but don't worry I'll eat everything

without giving anybody" grandma said jokingly. "Guess what" "What's that?"

Dorah asked. "The guy that opened the door for you is Ben my grandson"

Grandma said. "Whoa, he's cute" dorah whispered. "Hey, you better don't forget

Ronald because of him" "Grandma" Dorah exclaimed as she burst into laughter.

"Seriously?" She added. "I'm serious here" dorah said. "I hope he's here to stay?"

Dorah asked. "Yes" "that's good" "Benedict" Grandma called out. "Grandma, it's

Jace not Benedict" the guy said. Dorah watched him as he took the fruits to the

kitchen. She couldn't bear , looking at how handsome he his. He'll surely makes

head turn anywhere he's going. Dorah's phone started ringing. Grandma signaled

her to pick her call. "Hello" dorah said as she picked the call. "Hey, love" Jace said

at the other end of the phone. "Hey, will stop all that?" Dorah half yelled gaining

attention from everyone. "I'm sorry for the noise. A girl just shouted" Jace said and

it got dorah surprised. "What!" Dorah exclaimed and stood up. Benedict walked

towards her and gave her a puzzled look. "Do I know you?" Ben asked. "This can't

be possible right?" Dorah said. Ben redial the number he was previously calling

and Dorah's phone started ringing.

Grandma left them to get along and know each other well. "Don't tell me you're

Jace Esmond. Please tell me you're not bearing that name" dorah pleaded. "I would

have love to deny it but I'm actually Jace Esmond" Jace said winking at her.

"OMG, this isn't good" "I told you I'll find you by all means but I think luck is on

my side because you find me yourself" Jace said. "Why did you have to be Jace?" "Because I'm named Jace" "wow, seriously speaking I don't know you're this

handsome" "And I never knew you're this ugly" "Are you for real?" Dorah asked

rolling her eyes. "Well, can I be joking?" Jace shrugged. "You can't be serious""I'm

just joking" He said laughing.

"You're done? " Dorah asked as Jace came out of the principal's office. "Yeah. I

actually thought I'll go through some process before being direct to my class

because I'm being transferred here but he just told me everything has been taking

care of. He gave me the school map and that's all" he said as they started heading

towards the classes. "I told you that you have to stay long there. So, how about I

give you a tour round school" "Now?" "No, I have classes to attend. It'll be around

break. I'm sure you'll love this school" "I hope I do" "oh" Dorah mouthed as she

paused for a second. "What's wrong?" "That's Helena" She said looking ahead of

her. "Oh, just avoid her" Jace said with a frown. "Why?" "We broke up. Well, she

broke up with me because she thought you and I were dating" He said rolling his

eye balls. "Well, that's why she disgraced me in front of all students. She seriously

has some temper issues to deal with" "Well, it's over now so no more explanation"

He said as Helena walked pass them. "Jace " Helena's voice was heard. They both

turned and met Helena facing them already. "Geez, I know it. You look so familiar

from a far. Baby, you're here. How come you didn't tell me? And what are you

doing with this two face b***h?" Helena ranted. "What I'm doing here and what I'm

doing with her doesn't concerns you. You broke up with me already so why should

I be telling you about my affairs? Or have you forgotten you blocked me already?"

Jace asked glaring at her. "I'm sorry about...." "Just shut the f**k up. I don't care

about your apologies" "Jace" Dorah called holding his hand. "Let's go " Jace said

and dragged Dorah along with him.

Dorah, Emma and prudence were going to the cafeteria. Miranda had told them

she'll met up with them at the cafeteria. "I seriously don't know why Miranda with

dupe us for Jace" Dorah said loosing her tie. "You know that's against the rules"

Ronald voice was heard. Ronald walked towards them with both hands in his

pockets. "Senior Ronald'' Emma called smiling sheepishly. "Hey, how are you?"

Ronald asked. "I'm fine" "Well, that's good. Emma, right?" Ronald asked. "Yes"

Emma said excitedly. "Wow, he knows my name" Emma exclaimed and ran off.

"Tch, she's such a drama queen" Ronald chuckled. "Yeah" prudence answered

looking at Dorah whose head was down. "Can I please steal Dorah from you for some minutes or an hour?" Ronald asked. "She's all yours. You can have her for a

whole day" prudence said. "But I thought we're going........" "Sssshhhh, later baby.

Bye senior" Prudence said walking off. "Okay, baby. Bye'' he said making dorah

shot him a glare. "Baby of all words" she murmured, unknown to her Ronald heard

her. "Is everything okay?" Ronald asked. "Yeah" she answered walking ahead.

"Come on, Dorah" he said walked to her and held her hand. Dorah could feel the

spark, she looked at their hands. "Time for the surprise" Ronald said as they

walked towards the garden. "What surprise?" She asked confused. "Check it out"

he said making her ran into the garden. On the chair was a teddy bear and a

shopping bag. "You like it?"She heard Ronald's voice behind her. "I love it"

"Thank God. I was actually hoping you'll like it" "Are those for me?" "Yeah I got

those for you" "What are these for?" "For your birthday. Happy birthday in arrears.

Sorry I couldn't get it delivered on your birthday. " "Awwwwn awwwwn, thanks

babe" She said and jumped on him to hug him tight.
