Jace accepted to be among the flower boys. It was so fun being with them. He learnt a lots of things from them and he tried as much as he can to avoid any conversation that'll lead him into singing. "Do you think I can do it?" He had asked dorah. "What's that?" "Music" "Yes. I know you can do it. Stop running and give it a try."
Feeling bored alone, Jace mind started wandering around. Dorah went to a place unknown to him with her mother. He remembered the guitar his father kept in his closet. It's been five years since he last touched the guitar. He went into his closet and stopped immediately he saw his guitar. He smiled bitterly and walked towards it . His hands started shaking immediately he stretched his hands to pick the guitar up. He dropped the idea and decided to get some fresh air outside. "Grandma, I'm going out for some minutes" He said as he walked pass his grandma in the sitting room. "Okay" She answered shortly without glancing at him. As he opened the door, he met dorah who was about pressing the door bell. "Come in" Jace said. "How did you know I was at the door?" Dorah asked as he closed the door. "Actually I was going to get fresh air outside" He said. "Fresh air right or you're going to check on me? " Dorah said winking at him. "I'm serious. I just need some fresh air that's all" "Grandma" Dorah greeted and sat on the chair next to grandma. "Baby, how was where you went to?" Grandma asked. "Not fine at all. Do we have to be doing this every year? I'm tired of going there. Going there only made me realize more that I don't have a father any longer and it hurts." She said sadly. "Sorry baby. " Jace left them immediately his phone started ringing. "Who are you talking to?" Dorah who was walking towards him asked immediately he ended the call. "Someone you shouldn't know" "Oh really?" "Yes." Dorah snatched his phone from him. "You're talking to my friend. So, you later got her number" she said eyeing him.
Dorah explained what grandma and her had been discussing. "What killed him? Is it natural death?" Jace asked. "No, heart failure." She said. "Oh, sorry about that" He said placing his hand on her hand that's on the bench and caressed it. "It's fine but I miss him." "It's normal." "Why don't you join the flower boys?" He asked after some moments of silent. "I don't want to be the only girl among them and moreover, I'm not good at singing." She shrugged. "Well, I was told your crush once saw you singing and you both even sang together before and that it was a jackpot" Jace said in a tone that showed pure jealousy. "He's not more my crush. I'm planning on forgetting about him, so you don't have to sound jealous" Dorah said smiling."who told you I'm jealous?" "I should be the one jealous. You're always telling me about Miranda. Meeting a pretty and gentle girl, can you introduce me to her? We've finally talked and she told me her name. You even gave her your number but I never talked, did I?" "That's because you never loved me from the start. You only consider me as friend" he said folding his arms. "Should I be saying I'm sorry because I just couldn't force myself to love you? If you can wait till I get over Ronald , maybe we can give it a try" she said playing with her fingers. "If you want to get him out of your mind then join the band" "What?!" She exclaimed. "You heard me well" he said giving her an intended look. "But....." "You have to prove to me that you truly wants to get over him. I need you to prove to me that you want to stop loving that guy. And from what I know, he has a fiancee already" "I know. You don't have to remind me. That's why I had to get him out of my mind" she said rolling her eye balls. "Fine, I'll think about it" She said turning her gaze to the ground. "For how long?" Jace asked glaring at her. "For as long as I can think about it. I don't have to give you a tangible date or time." She shrugged. "Dorah." "Jace what?" She asked giving him a questioning look. "You know that for as long as stands for days, weeks, months and even years" Jace said. "I know that's why I said for as long as I can think about it." "You don't want to do it, right? You don't have to get my hopes so high." He said and scoffed. "Stop talking as if it's easy. Don't you know what it means if I accept? It means I'll be seeing this particular guy every single day, someone I'm crushing on for Christ sake. It's not an easy task. It's like you are telling me not to stop loving him. How do you expect me to get over him if I keeps on seeing him every day?" She said giving him a deadly glare. "Okay, give me my phone" Jace said stretching his hands forth to collected his phone. "I'm using it" she said and he stretched to see what she was doing on his phone. "No no no, dorah don't go near my w******p messages" He exclaimed as he was wanted to collect his phone from her. "What are you hiding? Do you have another girlfriend I didn't know about?" She asked and smirked. "No, not at all. But I have crushes. I mean girls crushing on me both from my former school, my former house, at the industry and even here. You can't imagine how popular I am right?" Jace said smiling. "Urgh" she made a disgusting look. "It's not like I care anyways." She shrugged ignoring his glaring.
