Chapter 8:Blue

Henry entered his room and swiftly changed into more comfortable, lightweight clothing. As he stood in front of the mirror, he contemplated his training regimen. "Which part of my body should I train first?" he muttered to himself, running a hand over his toned but still-improving physique. After a brief pause, an idea struck him. "First, I should buy some ingredients to make an efficiency-boosting mixture," he reasoned. In the world of the game, crafting personalized potions was a common practice among veteran players. The game was rich in detail, and rather than relying on generic store-bought potions, crafting one's own often yielded better and more tailored results. However, understanding which materials produced the desired effects was essential—a skill typically reserved for seasoned players or those who frequently browsed the forums for information. Henry belonged to the latter group. "For now, using advanced potions might do more harm than good. It’s better to push my body to its limit first," he murmured, reaching for his tablet. After scrolling through various options, he finally made his selection. "Let’s go with this one," he decided, placing an order for the necessary ingredients. At least the materials weren’t too expensive, he thought, glancing at the confirmation screen. The blend he had chosen contained dungeon-sourced ingredients known for their ability to enhance blood circulation, boost physical performance, and increase stamina. Curious about his finances, Henry checked his bank account. Only 90 silver coins remained. A sigh escaped his lips. "I need to make more money," he thought, shaking his head. No matter where one was, whether in reality or in a game, money was always crucial. "Yeah, I need more money," he muttered, "but for now, training comes first." With that, he grabbed his equipment and stepped out of the room. A few moments later, Henry arrived at the training ground. Towering before him was an imposing, multi-story structure—an embodiment of the academy’s dedication to honing the skills of its students. The sheer scale of the facility, coupled with its state-of-the-art design, was a testament to the immense resources invested in the institution. After all, the students here were the future protectors of the world. As he stepped inside, a serene atmosphere enveloped him. The morning was still young, and only a handful of students were present mostly those dedicated to pushing themselves beyond the norm. The training facility was divided into various sections, each catering to a specific aspect of combat and skill development. To his right was the Combat Arena, a vast open space reinforced with protective formations. Sparks flew through the air as students clashed, the enchantments ensuring they could push their limits without sustaining serious injuries. Further down, he spotted the Archery Range, a designated area for rangers, complete with targets set at varying distances. As Henry observed the range, a thought crossed his mind. My skills might actually suit a ranger’s playstyle. Until now, he had always considered himself a close-combat fighter. But upon reflection, his traits and abilities seemed better suited for long-range combat. [Lunar Enigma] enhances projectiles with moon energy... That meant he could infuse arrows or thrown weapons with his mana. Additionally, his Keen Eye skill granted him enhanced vision—an invaluable asset for any ranger. "If I can amplify projectiles and improve my accuracy, that means I could be highly effective from a distance," he murmured, a small smile forming on his lips. However, it was too soon to make a final decision. "I should wait and see how my traits develop first," he thought. With that in mind, he continued walking through the corridors, his sharp eyes absorbing every detail. Eventually, he stumbled upon an area that was noticeably less crowded. The Elemental Training Chambers—specialized rooms designed to simulate different elemental environments. These chambers allowed students to acclimate themselves to various conditions and train their mana across different attributes. Because of the high cost of operating these chambers, only higher-ranking students typically had access to them. Henry made a mental note to revisit this area when he was ready for more advanced training. After passing several more rooms, he reached an open training space filled with dummies. This was the Dummies Center, a place where students could refine their combat techniques and develop their skills in a controlled environment. The dummies were enchanted to provide realistic resistance and feedback, allowing for effective practice. Suddenly, a sharp cry echoed through the space. "Ha!" The shout was followed by the distinct sounds of rapid slashes slicing through the air. Curious, Henry turned toward the source of the noise. His gaze landed on a lone figure, moving with extraordinary speed and precision. A long spear danced through the air, cutting through the space in a fluid motion. His eyes narrowed as recognition dawned upon him. Blue Williams. A name that every player of the game knew. The protagonist. Sweat glistened on the young man’s white hair as he moved with an almost inhuman grace, his spear a blur of motion. Each strike carried such force that it generated gusts of wind, powerful enough to cause ripples through the air and impact the training dummies. "Huff... Huff..." Blue exhaled, stepping back for a brief moment. A faint but satisfied expression flickered across his face.
