That must be an amazing feeling. I think to myself as I shake the hand of the second girl, I hear “Chris why are you touching my mate?” come from the house. “Sorry dude, just following my mother’s directions”

“Sorry Luna, she is my mate” Adrien says as he walks towards meeting his mate with a big grin on his face. Two girls left, I looked towards my mother and smiled. I know her heart is in the right place, but these girls are not it. I step forward and give them high fives at the same time to hurry up and get this over with.

Wasting my time by being with them instead of finding Emily. No sparks as I knew there would not be. My mother gives me a look, knowing I was trying to rush this as I was not interested in finding my mate. She walks towards me and pulls me to the side.

“Chris you need to be serious about your mate. What if one of those girls was your mate. She would have been heartbroken by you just giving her a high five.” “Mother, I would have gotten their scent if they were truly my mate” I say as I give her a hug. As I am walking away from my mother, I tell her ‘I love you and we can talk later’ with a wink. She hates that.
