meeting the boss

As mom and me walk through the back door of the servants quarters we are greeted by a tall lady with a sharp nose " hey rosa how are you dear" my mom greets " very good elisia this must be your daughter " she smiles, I blush and wave slightly uncomfortable around new people.

Mom turns to me " sweety this is rosa shes the head maid she'll be assigning your duties ok honey, I love you I got to go I will see you at 7 when we get off" she hugs me and scurries away, I look nervously as rosa she smiles warmly

" ok sweetheart so you are what we call a floater, what that means is you do various things as they come in like dishes and dusting aswell as sometimes serving the boss and his company.

so right now you can just start by cleaning and dusting the supplies are in that closet over there, I've got to go I'll be back to check on you later" she walks away briskly I stand there for a second and sigh going to the closet and grapping a duster.

*3 hour time skip*

I stand at the top landing of the 5th floor dusting the railing already exhausted from the work.

I'm dusting the tables in the hall when a door pops open suddenly, a girl no older than me scurries out in a fright she spots me and heaves a sigh " you must be the new maid, Elizabeth right?" I nod she smiles " I need your help, the boss needs someone to deliver the drinks to him amd his... um guest but i have so many chores could you do it? Please please" she begs.

I bite my lip in thought, the boss I thought I wouldent meet the boss EVER but I cant just say no the poor girl looks scared what's the harm in just serving a few drinks they probably wont even notice I'm there.

I look into her pleading green eyes and nod " yeah sure" her eyes flood with relief " great I'll show you to the kitchen and mary will take it from there come on,oh I almost forgot I'm Victoria but everyone just calls me vicky " she says with a grin, walking down the stares " nice to meet you".

We walk into the bustling kitchen into a dining room where a short women stand with drinks on a tray I assume shes mary, vicky stops in front of her with a smile " mary this is Elizabeth shes going to take the drinks to the boss" she turns to me " I've got to go but good luck amd thank you so much I'll see you around" I wave turning to mary,

she hands me the tray and starts marching up the 5 flights of stairs going down the main hallway she turn right to the door I saw vicky come out of.

Turning to me " ok go in there place the drinks in front of each of them do not speak unless spoken to do not look them in the eyes. unless they order you to stay leave immediately do you understand?" I nod hesitantly.

With shakey hands I open the door entering what looks like an office with about 5 men sitting in comfy looking chairs with a cloud of smoke covering them from there cigars they laugh and continue to chatter as I walk in one of the men look up at me I immediately look down and blush from how handsome he is, clad in a black dress shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows showcasing a plethora of tattoos on his hands all the way up as far as I could see aswell as one on his neck, wearing black dress pants and matching black shoes.

I could feel his burning gaze on my back as I placed the drinks on the table walking past one of the men I yelped, jumping in suprise feeling a hand on my ass the man chuckled and smirked I heard a low somewhat animalistic growl admit from the man in black as I bolted for the door closing it quickly with a sigh of relief.
