Victor’s eyes darkened dangerously the second he saw my old phone in my trembling hands. He crossed the room in powerful strides and took it from me without asking.
I held my breath, heart hammering against my ribs.
He read the message. His jaw clenched, a sharp muscle ticking. For a terrifying moment the room felt ice-cold. Then he looked at me, expression unreadable.
“Dominic Hale,” he said slowly, tasting the name like poison. “The pathetic little boy who couldn’t even wait until after the wedding before burying himself in your best friend’s body.”
My face burned with fresh shame. Hearing it spoken out loud brought the memory crashing back — the moans, Maria’s cruel smile, Dominic’s words. I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.
Victor studied my face carefully. “Do you still love him, Liana?”
Tears stung my eyes. I looked down, voice barely a whisper. “I… I thought I did. I loved the man I believed he was. I waited two years for him. I saved everything for him because my parents raised me to believe that a woman’s purity is a sacred gift. Something holy. Something only for my husband on our wedding night. And now… I feel so dirty. So ashamed. If my parents knew what I’ve done… if they knew I ran into the arms of a stranger on my wedding night… they would be devastated. I can’t face them. I can’t bear the thought of breaking their hearts.”
Victor tilted my chin up forcefully, forcing me to meet his intense gaze.
“Good,” he growled softly. “Because if you still wanted that weak boy, I would have a serious problem.”
He pulled me hard against his chest, one arm wrapped possessively around my waist while his other hand stroked through my hair. The contrast between his gentle touch and the darkness in his voice made my stomach flutter with fear and something much more shameful.
“I’m going to destroy him for you,” he murmured against my ear. “Slowly. Painfully. He will regret the day he ever laid eyes on you. And I will make sure your parents never have to suffer because of his stupidity.”
A violent shiver ran through me. Part of me was horrified by how casually he spoke of destruction. Another part — a darker, newer part I barely recognized — felt strangely safe. Protected. Desired in a way Dominic had never made me feel.
Victor kissed me then. It wasn’t soft or sweet. It was deep, claiming, almost punishing. His tongue invaded my mouth as if he could erase every trace of Dominic from my body. When he pulled back, his eyes were blazing.
“Tonight,” he said, voice rough and full of promise, “I’m going to make sure you forget that boy’s name completely.”
He lifted me effortlessly and carried me to the bed, laying me down like I was something precious he intended to ruin. Then he undressed slowly, revealing his powerful, muscular body. My eyes widened when his thick, hard length sprang free.
Victor climbed over me, caging me in with his strong arms.
“Open your legs for me, little bride,” he ordered softly but firmly.
Blushing furiously, I obeyed. Shame burned through me as I spread my thighs, completely exposed to his hungry gaze.
He settled between my legs and rubbed his hardness along my soaked folds, coating himself in my wetness. The hot, heavy pressure made me whimper.
“You feel that?” he growled, sliding up and down teasingly. “That’s what a real man feels like. Ready to ruin innocent little girls like you. Not some pathetic boy who couldn’t even stay loyal for one day.”
I moaned loudly, hips moving against him despite my embarrassment. The friction was driving me insane.
Victor leaned down and sucked hard on my neck, leaving a dark mark. “I’m going to mark every inch of this beautiful body. So when that worthless boy sees you again — if he ever does — he’ll know exactly who owns you now.”
He moved faster, rubbing himself against my most sensitive place with perfect pressure. I was losing control, moaning shamelessly, nails digging into his back.
“Come for me,” he rasped, voice dark and commanding. “Come while you think about how much better I am than him.”
The orgasm hit me like a storm. I cried out his name, body shaking violently beneath him as waves of pleasure crashed through me.
Victor groaned deeply and stroked himself faster until he came hard across my stomach and breasts, painting my skin with thick, hot ropes of his release.
He looked down at me, breathing heavily, eyes filled with raw satisfaction. “Look at you… covered in me. Exactly how you should be.”
Afterwards, he surprised me by cleaning me gently with a warm cloth, almost tenderly. Then he pulled me into his arms, my head resting on his chest while he stroked my back.
“This is only the beginning, Liana,” he murmured. “Tomorrow we burn the rest of your old life. New phone. New number. New everything. And you will delete that message.”
I nodded against his chest, but deep down I was terrified.
Because even though I had agreed to belong to Victor… I knew Dominic wouldn’t give up easily.
And I had no idea what would happen when the two men in my life finally collided.
