The capture

***Ten years later*** "Did you see what just happened?" Mabel asked me, with hitched breath as her chest showed evidence of shuddering. "A full grown human turned into an animal!" She exclaimed with the most shocked expression I've ever seen on her. "Sshh," I muttered, covering her mouth with my right hand. I dragged her until we were both hiding behind a tree. "Where are they?" I heard somebody ask in a rugged voice. "We can't risk any human finding out about us. If they've seen us then they have to go." Mabel shrieked at that, but I stifled her mumbling with my hand still clasped over her mouth. Those were werewolves and for as long as I remember, werewolves aren't seen in this part of the city. Slowly I removed my hand from Mabel's mouth, giving her the universal sign of 'keep quiet'. She nodded "We need to run," I whispered and the she nodded again with fright clearly written in her face. We ran for our lives. “We’re dead, Julian. Mrs. Karen is going to KILL us!” Mabel screamed, obviously lost in panic as we ran. “Is that what you’re thinking about at this moment?!” I yelled at her still running. A cloud of dust rose from the ground a step away from us and we froze in our tracks. Then we began to feel a heavy thud from behind us as if a thick explosion had occurred. I turned my head to see some guy transforming into a giant white wolf. I have not seen any wolf since the day I fled from my pack. He lets out a roar and glares at me. I panicked, and before I could pull Mabel, he was already throwing dirt towards our direction, making us stumble and scrape our bodies all over the sand and dirt. I tried to open my eyes, but for some reason, everywhere was still dark and the view around was quite grim. Mabel... I opened my eyes and focused on looking for her. But something else suddenly drew my attention. A smell that stung my nostril so hard, I wanted to get rid of it. The smell was the best I've ever smelled since all my eighteen years alive. It was happening. My mate was here! Why now of all the times in the world, did he have to show up now? I didn't find him two days ago after my birthday so why now? While looking around, I found Mabel’s unconscious body that was covered with dirt. “Mabel!” I shouted and tried to reach her, but before I could, I was struck by something large. One of the White wolves. His eyes were filled with rage as he watched me intently. The fur covering of his body began to to come to life as the creature growled at me. He confined me with such ferocity that there was no possibility of escape. His presence made my heart race, but that was short lived as I came to detect the sweet smell that I had been smelling actually belonged to him. He had tracked me down, because he is my mate! Right in front of me, he slowly transformed into a human and I could see all his features clearly. He seemed to have realized I was his mate as well because he stared at me with the most piercing blue eyes. On all fours, he gently stood up to his full height. Handsome......He was definitely the most handsome man I have ever come across. He had the perfect eyebrows and deep blue eyes, a strong Greek God nose in the middle of a perfectly sculpted face. His best asset was his hair, A thick, glossy black with natural gold highlights that becomes brighter in the sun. "Who are you?" He asked and I finally got out of my delusion. I looked over to Mabel, who was still in the dirt. "I have to save her," I said rolling over to her. My mate's arm suddenly grabbed mine as he pulled me up. "I asked you a question," he remarked with a growl. "What are doing here? Are you a rogue?" He asked. "Do I smell like one?" I retorted angrily. I didn't know where I got the temper from but the most important thing to me now was saving Mabel. She can't die on my watch. I initiated this adventure. Another wolf came upon us transforming as well. My mate's hands was still tight around my arm. "This one is a wolf and this one is human," The second guy said pointing towards Mabel. "Yes, I know that," My mate replied without cutting his gaze. "She's my mate!" "What the hell!" The second guy retorted in shock. "That's crazy Oliver." Great, so his name is Oliver. "Take her away," Oliver ordered the second guy who bent low to pick Mabel. "No no! You can't do that," I screamed pilling off my hand from Oliver's grip. "You can't take her," I rushed over to the second guy but he'd already carried Mabel and threw her over his shoulders. "No rush darling," My mate said grabbing me from behind. "When you're ready to answer my questions, you can find me on the hilltop mountain." "No please." I resorted to pleading. "You can't take her." "But she's human and she's already seen us," he stated coldly. "I promise you she will never say anything. I'll explain everything to her." I was becoming hysterical. Oliver held on tight even though I fought against his hold. "Let her go!" I screamed as the second guy carried Mabel away, while I could only watch in despair. Oliver snarled, his breath scorching on my ear, "Not until you answer my question." Desperate to escape, I twisted and turned. "I'll do anything, just don't hurt her!" Oliver tightened his hold. "Tell me, what you are doing here?" I hesitated, but I realized I had to act quickly since Mabel's life was at stake. "I..uhm...I live here," I stammered. Oliver squinted his eyes in disbelief. "What is a werewolf doing among the humans?" He asked. His head snapped up as the air was suddenly filled with a loud roar. "I need to go," he said. "I would have loved to drag you with me my dear mate, but that would be no fun." As he turned to leave, I notice an ornament around one of his arm. A beautiful clear crystal bracelet surrounding one arm and carrying the symbol of the White crescent wolf pack. My heart dropped to my stomach.
